@Agent 39 I don’t believe in pausing movies, it kills the momentum. I never miss pieces of dialogue because I’m always fully emersed in the experience. People talking during the movie is a very rare occurrence in my case, you probably just live in a crappy area. I’m not rich enough to afford a home theater set up, and even if I was, sitting at home is boring as hell. Also, I respect the filmmakers hardwork and their films enough to pay admission to watch them the way the filmmakers intended them to be seen.

Maybe, but Chase was probably dragged onto the show to promo the movie and it was never going to be anything but superficial. And I think Jimmy was sincere when he said he was worried about oversharing, so he was holding back. And just because someone is a legend, doesn't make them good interview material. Jimmy is capable of really masterful work. His interview of Mike Lindell was one snap after another, but he still let him talk.

Perhaps Michael also sounds and moves like his Dad cause it's called ACTING and he's prtraying not his young dad but a young Tony Soprano? Michael Gandolfini shouldn't be typecast as a James Gandolfini clone. It's early in his career. Shower praise on him for this but don't burden him. May many other diverse roles showcasing his talent in myriad ways follow. The way Jimmy is banging on about Michael being exactly like James is well-meant but borderline disrespectful and he does not realise that David Chase is deliberately being defensive about it and trying to steer the conversation away from that.

Definitely worth listening too! Been listening to them after I watch an episode or 2. They both vibe very well and add in cool facts and experiences.

It’s amazing honestly, not just to get insight of the show but also the dynamic between the two is worth tuning into. Lotta ball breaking as they say

Steve can be quite narrow minded sometimes but he’s so funny. I love when he and michael imperioli go back and forth with each other🤣

@@mdd04000 - the best was when they had all these trippy dreams to explain so Steve asks Michael to help and then starts yelling at him that’s he’s being too trippy

My favorite Gandolfini moment was when he was on SNL on a skit where I think Amy Poehler or Tina Fey was mouthing off to him. Gandolfini, was whoa! Calm down, you have a nice face, so calm down. Had me cracking up.

one of the great geniuses of television writing. The Sopranos is the great american novel in tv form. I'm so impatient about the release of the movie.
