I think a lot of this show reinforced the idea that old habits die hard. Tony raiding the fridge, Chris and his drug addiction, Feach Tony B and Phil returning to the life after 15+ years in prison, Carmela continuing to love Tony despite his continued infidelity. There are prob dozens of examples of It throughout the show. Time and circumstance may change, but ppl almost always act in ways and patterns that feel familiar to them, no matter how illogical or destructive these habits are from an objective perspective.

David Chase's original arc for the series was a four-season run. While some of its best work came in Seasons 5 & 6, I think this finale would have been a fine way to wrap Tony's development; leaving us with Tony never being legally punished for his many crimes, but being punished personally with the realization of his greatest fear (losing his family, "those ducks flying away").

Meadows acting in this scene never fails to make me feel so bad for her, was she spoiled and selfish a lot of times sure all kids are at one point but the scene that breaks my heart is when she’s in her room and now she starts blaming herself for her parents divorce over some trivial comment she made years ago and she seems so genuinely upset Jaime Lynn singler is amazing
@NotSoRandom_ Жыл бұрын
I don’t think she’s blaming herself it’s more her reminiscing on the smaller moments with her and her parents, but obviously where she’s angry and in hindsight she’d not appreciated. But then again maybe you’re right, kids would often blame themselves whenever when divorces happen

billie you poor brainwashed kid;) the risk envolved? you stupid or what? Tony move because he's too kind and weak, he pays the bills, he's the sponsor of the family, so he can easily quick everybody out, and he should done that. Carmella without Tony is nothing, she can't survive without him that's why she let him cheat with other women, because she has no choice ;)

Tony never had the makings of a varsity husband. If he spent as much time being a devoted, loyal husband as he did chasing skirt, he'd be batting .1000

I had a childhood friend who came from a wildly dysfunctional family. I feel like i even got traumatized from it. But the familybmagically became super close and tight knit once all the kids reached adult age. It’s really to weird to see them now and remembering how they used to be

That's the case with my family, it can be stressful to raise kids and causes financial strains that put relationships to the test.

It's a shame how two people can get married to each other spend so many years with each other have a marriage have a family have kids with each other and then one is finally finished they walk away from each other like that total strangers as though they never knew each other to begin with and they have kids together mind boggling and sad 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺💔💔💔

Yea put her through knowing she didn’t have to work or risk her freedom and life for all the money that supported the family. Seems like a lot to go through knowing you don’t have to work and get all the benefits of keeping the house you didn’t pay for and keeping the kids who probably don’t wanna live with you. Imagine being kicked out a house you risked your life to get…

@@Mir2Nastyy Why do you knuckle-dragging cavemen in Sopranos comment sections think Tony is some noble, self-sacrificing saint for doing the bare minimum that should be expected of a man (i.e. providing for his wife & children), and that Carmela should just roll over and tolerate all of his infidelities for it? Not to mention that he "risked his life" to get that house by stealing from and hurting other people. It's like all the messaging and themes of the show blow right over your head and all you see in Tony is le badass alpha male who fucks all the hot girls and beats people up.
