@jaketheripper7385Ай бұрын
A fair argument and true enough indeed, however the whole concept of "woke culture" is more insidious than you might be willing to recognize. It may seem like a nothing issue at face value, but this is far from the case as it is having very negative effects on aspects of society that are much more fundamental and potentially dangerous than the surface level stuff that usually comes to mind when thinking about this topic/issue. It's all interconnected and it is putting us on a rather dangerous path. Disregarding the issue in such a manner is part of the problem honestly. I would imagine that you're probably a wise enough person to understand what I mean, and perhaps with a bit more focused observation you'd be able to begin to see for yourself just exactly what I'm talking about here.

@@jaketheripper7385 honestly I find that a lot of issues considered "woke" these days is what I would consider to be polite and empathic behaviour. Using someone's pronouns that they prefer. Not being discriminatory. Treating men and woman with respect. Anyone who considers those concepts to be subversive is generally an unlikeable individual, in my opinion. Of course I've met some people who self-describe as Feminists or trans or whatever, who have been very rude and entitled people, but that has often seemed to be a matter of maturity. These people are young, usually University aged, and they grow out of their abrasive attitudes. Meanwhile, anti-woke figureheads all seem to be in their 30s and 40s, old enough to have a bit of maturity and social awareness! For example, I don't understand why it's considered woke to point out that women aren't taken seriously in healthcare. That's just a fact. Yet it's considered a bit subversive to mention this fact in some circles. Are we being distracted from the major issues underlying this problem? Methinks so.

17:29 Keep in mind that that is not the actual Caitlin Kennedy. The real one never apologized for anything. Also, while she was involved in a ton of projects, that doesn't mean she made all of them. She likely had a good suggestion every now and then next to a director that knew what to accept and what to reject, but to attribute the 25 Oscars to her would be to imply that she singlehandedly made those movies. And finally, yes, Disney as a whole is a problem, not just her. But that at best makes her a heavily payed fall guy, or a significant figure in the machine that isn't even trying to hide what she's doing.

It's not just about "woke" culture, though. Every time somebody does an analysis of this episode, they always conveniently miss the part near the end where they also rip on people who complain about "woke" all the time. Blooms has probably done the best analysis of this episode cuz he actually calls that part out and then calls out every other channel that conveniently and purposely ignores it

You conveniently forgot that only Cartman complained about it, literally nobody else cared and one person’s criticism was enough to get to her…We don’t care if characters are LGBT, women, race swapped, etc. as long as its not their ENTIRE character and they’re not lame…Now they’re going too far and it’s too late to be upset about how Hollywood is forcing wokeness on us…

touching on the part when you spoke about hate comments you've received, It's a damn shame that you've recieved some nasty things. All content creators have to deal with it at some point, unfortunately. Coming from someone who did dislike certain jokes you've made in past videos, I think it's wrong for people to outright complain and resort to juvenile name calling rather than giving you constructive feedback. I think just your earlier videos on this channel have certain jokes that just never landed for me. They would drag on a little much, and your satire began to sound a little douchebaggy tbh. I stopped watching your content for a bit until youtube kept recommending you on my feed. I gave your videos another shot and was pleasantly surprised when I watched your 'South Park Depression' episode. It just felt a lot different, like there was more effort put into the commentary. It's cool to see development in content creators, especially those who are newer to the platform. Honestly, I love what you're doing. It's crazy how much content you've been putting out these past few days/weeks. Just keep making videos that make you happy, dont overexert yourself, and I'm super excited to see more from your channel. Love what you're doing, dont let negative comments bring you down dude!!
@just_your_localguard9612Ай бұрын
It's cost of being public figure, you trade your anonymity for attention and money, like I really don't feel sympathetic towards content creators, they know what they're getting themselves into and they rather deal with hate comments then a boss who nags them all day.

@HunterAnsorge-ok9jkАй бұрын
PC gamer here, Console somehow is less toxic when it comes to disparity between hardware. My games only stutter when I play online with a wired fiber internet. I literally can't have a skill issue because the game (battlefield 1 for example) does nothing but stutter with a ping of 30-40 ms. Either my wifi is too fast or someone is hacking which hacking does exist on console, but it isn't to the same degree.

@HunterAnsorge-ok9jk PC gamers cry when their game drops to 120fps and 8k clarity, with their $5,000 system, sorry but that's toxic unhealthy and not what gaming is about, I've never seen a PC gamer not either be totally casual, or are a complete toxic that's their whole life all money goes to upgrading from the latest bullshit that looks the exact same as five years ago bullshit and now the only PC game I play is an old XP pack 3 build I made for age of empires 2 original lol I bought a PS5 this year after buying my last console was a PS3, the difference is astounding and I just can't understand what difference is so great between my PS5 and a gaming PC and I don't even run mine at 4k usually because it's far far far far far far far more important whether the game actually fucking looks good when souped up like that and imo very few do, cyberpunk maybe? But I struggle seriously seriously struggle to tell the difference between my PS5 running the same game at the lowest possible graphics and rate and my friends PC water cooled 4070 shit must have 5k grand in it in total and he hates that I can't see a difference 😂😂😂 also ray tracing is a scam unless someone can somehow physically show me where the difference is, I think it more depends on the game design far more than your ability to make it look slightly better, or in my opinion worse I think games don't look good turned up to 4k and shit it just doesn't in 99% of cases, and I have blinded taken screen shots and compared and tried to pick out which one is running in lowest specs and which is highest and both times I picked wrong and said the lowest spec pics was the "high end" picture quality lmao and HDR is okay it's legit but IMO if it isn't tuned exactly right it'll fuck up and just make the colors worse and brighten everything problematically Ten or fifteen years ago there was a difference, now I think it's just marketing for dick waving contests

While there isn't a white genocide but saying it's just the birth rate isn't entirely correct, there's also the huge amount of immagration
@oriongear2499Ай бұрын
I don't know about that last part, considering it's really hard for anyone to immigrate to anywhere in the world. Edit: If there's anything I want to have happen to the US as a US Citizen, I want the birth rate to crash dramatically so that the US will just be an abandoned mass of land everyone calls a "Continent".
@4eyewiseguyАй бұрын
@oriongear2499 From 2021-22, almost 500 thousand immigrants were added to the population. 22-23 saw almost 470 thousand in the last 10 years. Canada has added over 2.5 million people most of thise Indian. For the US, look at Springfield, Ohio, over 20 thousand Haitians. Not to mention any illegals that cross the border. Since Biden took office, 6.6 million people immagrated that is 12.5 percent of the total immagration population as of March 2024, which is 51.6 million France and Britain there are full-on Muslim ghettos where it's unsafe for natives to go. It is very much a problem people are right to be concerned calling it a genocide is overboard

Since when have producers won Oscar’s?
@DetectiveTrupo203Ай бұрын
The biggest Oscar, best film, is presented to the producers of the movie. Everyone else has their own category, like best director for the director, best screenplay for the writer, best performance for the actor, etc. Basically, the producers are credited with the film being made. Every other position, including director, are essentially working for the producers.
