I've seen them live, and you are absolutely correct, they are everything you said and more live. A lot of fun, don't take the whole thing too seriously which makes the crowd love it even more. I need to see them again soon before they disappear over the sea an I miss my chance to see them in a pub again.

I saw these at YES (pink room) Manchester a few weeks ago and it was a superb performance. They are pretty big in Australia but have yet to break through here in the UK. The Darkness had them as the support band on their Australian tour, and a random video on the side bar of KZbin brought them to my attention a few months ago, so I googled them and found out they were in the UK touring. Nothing original but fresh, raw and totally down to earth, powerful and energetic live rock music. Before entering the venue a random Australian bloke approached my brother commenting on his SRB T-Shirt saying it was an original, he got it at an earlier gig in Liverpool. It turns out it was the lead singers dad and he was telling us about his and his sons musical history, and they had had an open house for musicians for years back in Oz. His son had paid for him to fly out to the tour, so he surprised him by bringing his sister along as well. You can hear all the influences in there music, Stan Qualan being a very good example. There is a certain comedy element to them as well, the lead singer is always cracking jokes on current affairs between songs, he was taking the piss out of Gareth Southgate when I saw them as it was the qualifying games at the WC and coincided with Englands early pathetic performances. There is also a great song entitled ‘watch yourself you’re gonna hurt somebody’ that’s very tongue in check.

They been around for at least a doz years and finally making it big in Australia esp Perth where evey gig now is sold out. Check out also our local blues rock( 3 piece) heros Vdelli , led by the brilliant Mike Vdelli on lead guitar and vocals, big in Germany an other parts of Europe after doing many tours there over the last 15 years.

Wow, never heard of these guys, but it's good to see some young folk getting into it and I love those 70's style duds. I would've worn those if I was allowed to have them at the time 😅. Definitely heard the Van Halen and Status Quo vibes and the lead singer sounded a little like Robert Plant. Hey Chris, have you ever introduced the boys to Madder lake yet? Good choice by the way and thanks for introducing them.

UK listener Great band... been following these guys for over a year now. They are a down to earth bunch of guys who really know how to entertain with great blues rock. Fantastic musicians, and a great sense of humour. Their videos are usually really funny too. They supported The Darkness on their last Auzzie tour. They cannot get radio play in Australia.... mad radio stations in my opinion. P.S. They have a bit of Thin Lizzy thrown in to all other bands mentioned. 9.0 from me 😉

OK, this is a good jam, and I especially like it because I could be the vocalist for this gig. Now, since the Thamesmen won't play Endless Forms Most Beautiful from Tampere for me...I thought I would recommend something you have not covered. Toto's 35th Anniversary concert DVD, Live in Poland (2013). There are some real gems on that DVD. How about WHITE SISTER, HOME OF THE BRAVE, HYDRA, and if you're interested, this is the best long version of Africa I have ever heard. There. A request that does not include Nightwish live. Well, sort of...

Apparently you guys like the very old Australian stuff, particularly the 80's music. Well, the best Aussie song of the 70's was Slippin' Away by Max Merritt and the Meteors. It's not hard rock, but it will sooth your soul. If you decide to check it out, it MUST be the 5 minute plus version, recorded in the studio. It's too good a song to be downgraded with an inferior live version.

I'm late to the party again. I have never heard of these guys, but they seem a lot of fun and play very well. It was probably a bit "Stars on 45" for me; but I give it points for being a bit kitsch and tongue-in-cheek. They don't appear to take themselves too seriously and I feel they would be a great warmup act at a festival. I reckon this video is a bit of a piss-take, and I am interested enough to go look to see what other videos are up on KZbin. I suspect there are more substantial tracks out there. Score: 7.9 (not an 8 because I am making a stand against Alex's Rule of 7. When I was at school, if I did a math test and got 70%, I was stoked. Further, the old adage sticks in my mind from my university days, where the saying of "P =s Degree" ruled. P was over 50%. If we can have doctors, lawyers and politicians getting by on grades over 50%, then 70% to me is not a bad score).
@TheThamesmen11 ай бұрын
I (George) would be happy with 70% of most things! Track is a great showcase of who they were filled with ball the rock hooks you could hope for! We all need a dose of music that does not take itself too seriously.
