I guess because Cathrine of Aragon was a truly God's obedient servant hence Henry VIII wasn't able to have living son's later on after their annulment; which in a way was her humiliation If there was any curse on Tudors it was because of Henry VIII's rolling eyes, playboy character not because of pure Cate He just wanted any reason to get rid of her so annulment happened as they weren't Childless (without any son/daughter) they had Queen Mary a living child History Books never depicted Arthor and Cate as lovers; only mentions of their unconsummated marriage.....and knowing the fact that Cate was very religious and righteous she would never lie about anything there are mentions that she swears in Gods name that she was a virgin while marrying Henry......it is the best series I watched till now and my favorite too but in this series they have really shown it wrong in the depiction of Cate and Arthor's relationship

She ended the Tudor dynasty, caused the return of an unpopular French dynasty that would eventually be toppled and then again returned with a third Civil War and then the last Stuart (also a woman lol) died childless, again, so Germans and Dutch came to rule England. Furthermore, Elizabeth I, like her father, cut off England from the rest of Europe, waged unnecessary wars to "uphold" Protestantism. Honestly, if it wasn't for the English wind, the Armada would take all of England. It is better to judge leaders based on events before AND after them and compare, not just their own time, Elizabeth I was great in her time but caused problems in the future, Ivan The Terrible was bad in his time but led tow prosperity in the future

Katherine wasn't that upset that Henry flaunted Henry Fitzroy, she was more worried about Mary's birthright. The pope even offered to grant a papal dispensation where Mary nd Fitzroy could marry in exchange for Henry not to go ahead with the annulment. But Henry didn't want to wait 10+ years for both kids too be old enough to have heirs. Or for their heirs to be old enough to be able to succeed him like his Edward was atleast 9, q baby succeeding Henry might not be ideal.
