The Spectrum Show Ep3

Welcome to Episode 3 of The Spectrum Show. The show for ZX Spectrum fans everywhere.
In this episode we look back to May 1983 and get the Spectrum news and new game releases.
We also have another arcade shoot-out and compare Spectrum versions of Asteroids.
We also review some early Quicksilva games and look at some newer releases.

On the "Asteroids clone" subject, you forgot the simple asteroids-like mini game hidden in Everyone's a Wally, when you get your character into the phone booth :)

The speech for the game Meteor Storm at 5:36 sounds like, "Meteor Alert!" spoken twice.

Love your shows, my second time round watching all the episodes. I had a 48k Speccy from 1984-1992 till I bought an Amiga 500A. I think the speech says "Meteorite, meteorite"

Remember that game Thrust?, that if I remember handled vectors really well in the Spectrum. Also Jugganaut.

Have listened to the voice on Meteor Storm and am pretty certain it says "Meteor Alert! Meteor Alert!". But it is pretty scratchy.
