An interesting and little-known quest trigger distinction that wasn't mentioned: it's really lucky that the Kohga fight trigger only depends on having started the quest, and that you can clip into the hideout so easily, because if you had to enter by the front of the hideout you would also need to talk to Teake, the captain of the Gerudo armed forces, which would require a second deload setup and kickout. If you don't talk to her after talking to Riju, the front entrance to the hideout is a solid rock wall.

Yeah I've noticed a couple ambient birdcalls in the game that don't have corresponding birds (since the range of bird species is mostly limited to pigeon and sparrow recolors). Aside from the kookaburra it's fairly common to hear owl calls.
