Makila like you I was also born in 1948 so I would have also been 18 when this amazing archive piece of video was released. The Spencer Davis Group were among many of my favourite bands back then, they were awesome, love that bass sound on "Keep on Running" and of course Steve's great voice. unfortunately I never got to see them live like you did.( Lucky You ). Still I have got some great memories from those days when there were so many talented top bands around, like of course the Beatles, Moody Blues,The Kinks, The Who, The Searchers, The Hollies, Pink Floyd, The Bee Gees, The Byrds, to name but a few, Oh' how I'd love to go back to those tremendous days when everything seemed so much more relaxed & peaceful.

I had forgotten all about this song, but man oh man, I do remember it! Didn't know who sang it, though. I just danced to it at the high school canteen; didn't know how lucky those times were, music wise. Sure do now, though ...!

Everybody thinks of Steve Winwood as the pop artist of the mid 1980's, but he was truly an under-rated legend of 1960's -1970's progressive rock and roll music. He's still around too.

Didn’t realise this was a Birmingham band, it was being played at the Birmingham commonwealth 2022 closing ceremony and Steve Winwood was a choirboy at St John’s Church which is literally a walking distance over the road from the Alexander Stadium
