Everyone talks about how Spider-Man TAS ended on a cliffhanger, I’m still mad over how MTV’s Spider-Man ended. The only time where Peter goes “nah this sucks, I’m done” and he quits forever. Obviously this was gonna get resolved in Season Two, but it never happened.

The first episode I saw of this show was Electro's debut. After being used to superhero adaptations where the good guy shows up at the last second to save any victims, seeing Electro murder his bully onscreen was genuinely shocking. Pun unintended.

Electro was the saddest villain. Now max wanted to be apart of the popular fraternity at college but they weren’t going to. Max was smart but he was too full of himself then he becomes electro, and takes his revenge and then he stalks another college student named sally. That episode was so good but also creepy, Neil Patrick Harris doesn’t get credit for his work in that show and this show is so underrated

2003 MTV Spider-Man is the most underrated Spider-Man ever. I love how the show screams early 2000s and yeah we desperately need more serious versions of Spider-Man after wholesum chungus Insomniac Spider-Man and mostly Holland Spider-Man

Still blows my mind that the show got axed after only one season. According to my research, the shows ratings were great, and people praised Harris for his performance. The reason MTV cancelled this show was kind of dumb if you ask me, they said it “didn’t fit their programming,” which honestly sounds like, yeah we want more Jersey Shore instead. MTV missed out on having a spider man series that at the time was honestly ahead of it’s time with the CGI animation

That episode with jedi ninja lady was probably one of the best thing i ever saw on TV when it came to animated fight scenes. Great original villain and extremely entertaining action, well choreographed fights with some Spiderman sprinkled into it. Mind you, this was way before the "Mary-sue girl boss" era we now live in.

I always thought that the original antagonists were stand-ins for his comic accurate ones. Talon is Black Cat, Terradacts are Vulture, Shikata is a female version of Kraven, and the Gains Twins are Mysterio. According to the creators, had the show continued in a second season, they would've introduced more comic accurate foes for Spider-Man regularly. And I always thought that Indy was this shows version of Gwen Stacy especially how her story ends.

I love this series. It aint perfect but i can't get over how cool and stylistic everything is. I would love to LIVE in a world that looked like this. NPH is a really good Spidey and my jaw DROPPED at some of the darker moments like Lizard just falling to his death or Kraven nearly being hung by the throat. The best part about the series are the setup sequences which i think are essential to Spidey.

This is actually my favourite Spider-Man series. The darker and more mature tone and setting, the semi-connections to the Raimi films and inspiration from the original Ultimate comics, the voice cast, some of the original characters I think are cool (I actually wish some of them could become canon in the comics now that I think about it) and the animation even if it's a little dated. Regardless, I still love this series. (Minus Episodes 12 and 13. Those ones just got a little too depressing, especially the finale)
