Concerning the gas tank, the reason they do that with the gas gauge has to do with “saving” People. People are less likely to get stuck when it reads empty, and they ALWAYS push it to the limit. Giving them extra mileage, helps prevent getting stuck on the freeway

Also agreed NO backpack on this Sportster S. IT CAN DO IT, but no. My wife agrees as she rides her own Indian Scout bobber, lol.

Lmfaoo I have a bike and have been riding for 7 years bro. I have no issues with it at all. Not saying I haven’t had close calls but I can honestly say not riding out of your comfort zone and being comfortable while riding eliminates most of the problems. Most. Accidents don’t have camera footage and I hate to say this but I personally think it has more to do with rider carelessness than driver carelessness. Drivers are careless. Always. Texting driving etc. but when the rider also gets careless that’s when bad things happen. An active rider with a careless driver stays alive. Most of the time. Not 100% I know it’s the word accident but I from the bottom of my heart believe riders are to blame in most situations. If the drivers are to blame us as riders can’t do anything. If the rider takes responsibility now you can take action to ride safer. Just my 2cents. But at this point I have time in the saddle and am not scared to ride on anything in most any situation.

The hydraulic lifters should not be an issue. First: the "S" is not a sport bike. You won´t rev it that high constantly...you don´t have to because of its´good torque. Second: the technology of hydraulic lifters is reliable. Look at high reving car engines like Hondas K20/K24 or BMWs S58. But I go with all your other complaints...and I have some more about my Sportster S. Despite of this all it´s one of the coolest bikes you can buy.
