The Harley softail and touring models compete very well with Indian, from price to specs/performance. But Harley is just leaving money on the table by not going after the more affordable liquid cooled cruiser market that the Indian Scout and Rebel 1100 just dominate. They need to expand the rev max lineup beyond just the Nightster and Sportster S.

I currently ride this generation rebel 300. Mine is a 2023. I bought it in january of 2024 and have put over 8,000 miles on it just this year. Anybody who says this bike sucks is simply wrong. Yeah, its built to better accommodate smaller framed people, yeah its a 300 and doesnt have endless power on tap. But it rides SUPER good for the price and weight of the bike, its reliable as hell, and sips at gas, getting incredible mileage.

I should be abojt to go without food for 300+ days if i dont exercise during the fast. If i do calisthenics and/or stationary bike, it will probably be less but will likely be beneficial for my limited muscles😂

Best of luck on your journey my friend. I am glad this can be a form of motivation for you. I can say exercising is much more beneficial than fasting and a lot faster as well. Not sure if that’s the reason the speed is blurred if I’m being honest. As far as KZbin they don’t like law breaking things like wheelies, racing etc. those videos usually get show to a lesser audience and can be a strike on your account.

Steering effort needs more input when your traveling faster speeds due to inertia not the fairing. Like rolling a quarter the faster the straighter as it slows down wobbles. Good concept to grasp when turning

Yeah I’ve backed to back chieftain with, street glide, road glide and challenger. Noticed some difference. It wasn’t enough that I would choose a fixed fairing if i was leaning towards a fork mount. Please let us know if you hear from a subscriber who has done something like this. For me, part of the fun of motorcycle ownership is customizing your bike to your likes and tastes. ;-)

One thing I liked about my 82 Sabre was that it was shaft driven. I guess they wanted to squeeze more horespower out of this bike by making it a chain drive. How is that windshield working out? Do you find that it cuts down on rider fatigue? What does it do to the handling?
@NostalgicMotorcycles4 күн бұрын
Very dependent on the screen. My screen actually has a little terbulance and slows the bike down. The one on my other magna is awesome and you can’t even tell outside of the fact you don’t feel the wind. This bike is more like a Sabre which I owned, 1982, than it is like the Magna of that year, which sat back more like a chopper. I'm sold on this bike, and will get one this Spring, or before. I loved the old Sabre 750. It was basically a naked sport bike. It cornered beautifully, and, for a 750, it had gobbs of power. I like that you can get them so cheap and with low miles.

This bike the Sabre and vfr are same family. In the 82 year you had they actually all had the same engine. How would compare the new Bobber to the Sportster S and the 101? I like the bobber style and the looks of the Sportster S, I don't like 2 in of travel in the rear suspension, although that can be upgraded. The 101 seems to take the cake for the ride experience if not the looks/styling.

If it’s a limited plus tech same thoughts as the 101. Better riding than the sportster s but slower. And not being the 101 is slower than that. I still think it(25scout bobber) rides better than the sportster s but 101 rides best

I have been looking all over the internet trying to figure out what bike I should get. I’m a bigger guy 6’1 300lbs. I’ve sat on pretty much every bike at the Harley dealer and local sports bike dealer. I’m not necessarily worried about weight of the bike but being a beginner I’m just torn between the 2 styles. Harley’s are comfortable but sports bike sat taller which I like being I have long legs. My only issue is how big of a CC bike would fit me. I feel like with my size anything under a 500 would kinda leave me hanging dry when I get to the highway as that’ll be my main drive to and from work or town. I’m curious on what you’d recommend?

@NostalgicMotorcycles8 күн бұрын
There is a reason baggers have 6 gallon tanks. 1 fuel economy is a lot worse on the bigger bikes. And they are literally meant to go as far as possible for long distance travel. That’s not the purpose of the scout. But. A small bag with a gallon of extra fuel gets you your 5 gallons if it’s that serious lol. A scout with a 5 gallon tank is like a Prius with a 30 gallon tank of a truck. Sounds good on paper because big number but it’s not practical.
