The sportster has better specs but it's not really a traditional cruiser so I'd compare to an FTR but regardless I'd pick the 101 it looks fantastic and has nice components Edit: Different class entirely but the low rider s is in my opinion the best sport cruiser you can buy.
@NostalgicMotorcycles
@NostalgicMotorcycles 2 күн бұрын
Ehhh the I agree with you in that it’s not a traditional cruiser. But there is no comparison between the ftr and this outside of the actual engines. Which would be a fun comparison. The ftr is an upright naked. Very different. When you sit on one it’s a different planet for sure.

Im a 100% Harley guy. The Sportster S looks good. But the 101 looks better. Better looks cant get me to buy it tho. Its not a Harley so for that reason it automatically loses. I have a 13 year old Vrod and it also has a 60° 1250cc. It has 9hp more and 5lb-ft tq more than the scout. The Scout is just a Slower version of Harleys Vrod and Sportsters S.

You can always buy a windshield for your vrod. As far as 6th gear goes,me personally I wouldn't use it. Top speed in 6th gear would be too much. I never use 6th gear on my 2019 FXDR 114. I can't do anything other than Harley. Especially Indian. 🤢🤮. Rocket 3 was close but ultimately bought my FXDR instead. I can't stray away from Harley.

Not sure. I’m not the right person to ask I haven’t ridden anything cross country. I don’t really have a point of reference. But you can take anything cross country it will make it. Just a matter of does it have what you need to be comfortable. I would need to change the screen height if possible. I think the seat would be fine. Maybe a back rest. I think the body position is wide and comfortable perfect for longer rides. It feels very relaxed to sit on. Longer more constant speeds it’s better than the scout for sure.

Lmfao glad I could help. I will say this if you only have one bike total the 101 is probably a better choice as it’s slightly more comfortable for longer rides and more customizable as far as bags and touring commodities. The as is faster and more fun in my opinion. But I have a comfortable longer range bike that I ride as well so I can look past the comfort and focus more on the fun of the sportster s

@@NostalgicMotorcycles That’s something to keep in mind. I generally don’t do long rides, so the time I need to I was just going to tough it out on the sportster s. In Australia the sportster s is $24,000 and the 101 is $28,000 ride away. Is the scout worth the extra $4000 in your mind?
