Nice video, do you feel that you sit in the bike or ride on top? Have you ride a softail low rider, 2016 to 2019? Any comparison?
@NostalgicMotorcycles2 сағат бұрын
Comparing to the low rider you sit on the scout. The scout has a lower tank to seat ratio. But in reality those arnt bikes you should be comparing as they arnt the same. Low rider and chief are your comparison. Bigger bikes with big air cooled twins yet not full in bagger size. The Scout is not that. It’s light nimble quick back and forth and faster. Power is given very differently.

Also can you please tell me about the bikes braking system of Super Scout , does it matter or not? I am watching this youtube every since i clearly loved it but many people say not having dual disc brakes on the front wheel makes it a bit unsafe , i am speaking from some of the peple’s comment , Also since I am a beginner and my height is around 5 foot 8 inches so is the super scout gonna be good or scout 101 , I am thinking of scout 101 just because it has dual front disc brakes . Please Enlighten me brother 🙏😅
@NostalgicMotorcycles3 күн бұрын
The 101 has better brakes than the super scout. That does not mean the super scouts brakes are unsafe in any way shape or form. They are still perfect and slow the bike down perfectly fine. What you will find is over intense use like a track or aggressive mountain road the 101 brakes will stay cooler and stop better for longer but just normal traffic it is hard to tell the difference.
@hriteshgoldar86053 күн бұрын
@ Oh okay Thank you for that info , So from what i understand like if i take the super scout for a long long ride like for camping or anything, the brakes will do fine but if as you said in the aggressive mountain road the super scout might struggle as compared to scout 101 , so what to do then like if anything happens then what should i do in those situations, sorry if this questions sound stupid but I am beginner and this questions are out of curiosity 😅
@NostalgicMotorcycles3 күн бұрын
@ I can explain it all day long. You won’t run into any situations and the difference is really marginal. Best suggestion. Once you have or if you have your license. Go to a dealer and ride them both. It will make 100x more sense once you feel it for yourself. Super scout brake are 100% enough in every situation. Yes the scout has better brakes. That does not take away anything from the super scout. It’s basically super scout is 100% solid brakes that will not give you issues and stops every time. But a 600cc super sport has better brakes. The later comment about the super sport takes nothing away from the first. The 101 brakes are better. But you as a new rider will not notice a difference because you can’t ride past the level of the brakes of the super scout to “need” the braking power of those Brembo calipers the 101 has.

Thanks for the superb review. Lately I've been thinking about changing my GS1250 to this kind of sport touring bikes. Doubting if the change will fit my needs which aren't too demanding (commuting 20km on highways, some riding with friends on the weekends and one or two long distance trips per year). I'm considering wether the VFR or the K1300S. Both bikes seem great, the BMW'S front suspension attracts me as Im used to the paralevel. Any recommendations? Which one would you get it? Any other bike to consider. Thank you, you clearly earn a new subscriber!
@NostalgicMotorcycles3 күн бұрын
I own this vfr so it is clearly my pick lol The Gs is slower with a little bit more soft/plush suspension. The gs will be more comfortable over bumpy road. The vfr will be more sport. Honeslty. Better brakes better handling when riding more quickly and just faster. If you want to softest ride possible BMW. If you want a good blend that is still fairly soft yet good enough to ride more aggressively. Vfr.

If the chief had the power plus motor out of the challenger I would prefer that bike as I personally already have a small light cruiser. @NostalgicMotorcycles7 күн бұрын
Passing on a double yellow isn’t stupid. Passing on a double yellow without looking at oncoming traffic to verify if cars are coming or doing that around a blind turn is stupid. Imagine if it was a dotted yellow. Look, make sure you don’t get squished and then go. Process is the same regardless of line color. It’s obvious and clear no cars are coming at unsafe distances and there is a car moving below the speed limit. Not sure about you but I don’t like being behind cars going slow opening up the possibility of a stupid driver texting and smashing my back side because I’d rather stay behind a slow car to not cross an imaginary line so you don’t think I look bad to others. I prefer to ride in a bubble away from traffic or cars. Keeping a distance from the cars in front and behind me so no one has the opportunity to pull a stupid and if safely crossing a line on the road with no cars coming is the cost to achieve that I think it’s a worth while risk. I made it home safe and alive regardless of what anyone thinks

@@NostalgicMotorcycles , to be honest, I think the Supercruiser is too naked. I would rather see the bike finished off with painted sheet metal or fiberglass side panels which flowed nicely into the frame rails. What Buell has going for themselves with the Supercruiser is that it is modeled after the durable FXR frame, which was said by many Harley aficionados as being the best riding bike Harley ever made. That FXR designed frame coupled with that beast of a motor is what makes the bike sought after. This bike offers a lot of bang for your buck in terms of power and performance.
@NostalgicMotorcycles5 күн бұрын
Obviously I’d have to ride it but modeling any modern bike after a Harley frame brings into question “for a Harley”. Saying the fxr frame is one of the best cruiser frames doesn’t mean it’s the best period. It means Harley people think it’s good. But a more modern modular frame like in the scout and the new sportster. Are more rigid and lighter therefore better. If buell went for full performance and dropped the Harley Infuence. We are going to make the fastest this should have been a sport bike cruiser regardless. I think it would be a different bike. I do find it cool to mix the sport bike swing arm on the old school tube frame but I know those frames aren’t the best 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️. I’d still love to ride one because 175/101 power is pretty crazy not sure how I would like it. Ps. When I feel that way about bikes. They usually impress me lol
