Crahan Denton was great in this. I never get tired of this movie, and have seen it many times.

Steve McQueen is a very natural actor. All the other actors are over doing it and pushing it. McQueen trusts the lines goes with the scene. Thank you PizzaFlix for posting this movie.

By your standard then everything Cagney did was over dramatic too. Different styles. If everybody would be like McQueen a movie would not feel real at all.

I don't believe I've seen this one, have heard of it tho - thanks for presenting this early Steve McQueen film (noir). At 15 mnts, the bar scene, at 19 mnts, the scene sets up Steve's character - outsider. Interesting time capsule and well filmed, edited, real locations, capturing the gritty aspects of that era, often romanticized by nostalgia.

Nice cars. The “street level” filming & cutting, makes this movie great to watch. And it’s exciting too :)

I liked this one a lot because it was more of a character-development movie than a pure action movie. Each personality got explored deeply, and we got to see each criminal's personal hidden filth (or I guess we'd say today, brokenness). Each one of them more than met the requirements of the definition of "sick bastard." I need to go take a shower now.

This was an early attempt at docudrama. Lots of location shots which reminded me of what it was like in the fifties. McQueen was great and the real actors were good. Using locals as actors without coaching was a stretch. Interesting to watch.

1:18:18 "Why didn't they let them out? what did they have to stop them for?" Very good question, especially as the police then start shooting at random through the window blinds.

Crahan Denton is recognizable from a handful of 'Have-Gun-Will-Travel' and other screenplays, but IMDB fixes him as "Graham" Denton, crediting him not with this but only two TV anthologys. Look, I'M on IMDB but after this and other f***-ups, I'll never trust them again. I really appreciate this upload. Good job.

Stylistically this is interesting. Also the gay undertones(understatement) among the gangsters was maybe daring for the time. Finally, the original music is not bad.

Steve McQueen was very good in this. The others' performances were amateurish, especially the actress who played Ann and the heavy set actor who played one of the bank robbers. The soundtrack was annoying.

I was interested in watching a young Steve Mc Queen because of his later role in " The Great Escape" A German prisoner of war camp that did not have any USA pilots in only white South Africans and a few Brits.

TheSnakeGaming I don’t know what film you were watching, but the great escape film had Steve McQueen, James Garner, Charles Branson and James Coburn, in it, lots of famous Brits , including Sir.Richard Attenborough, Donald Pleasance, Peter McCallum to name just a few. Before you make comments, you should check your facts.
