I always wondered if one could simple take the Delta Point pro rear sight attachment, cut off the a lot piece that goes into the DPP optic and screw it into the hole on the staccato

Staccato sells optic plates for the CS that let you retain the rear iron sights. I have one with my CS and Holosun EPS carry. Sorry if I missed it that you mentioned this somewhere.

Yes, but then you have to use a plate, which defeats the primary advantage of the SCS, that it attaches directly to the slide cut allowing the lowest possible height above bore. I have a video coming out soon on how I optimized my CZ Shadow 2 Compact, which unfortunately, Holosun does not make an SCS for and there is no available opotic that shares the footprint of its cut out....so (SPOILER ALERT), in this situation I did have to use a plate with iron sites built into it. By the way, your choice of EPS Carry is a great one. I have been very impressed with that site. Actually, you shouldn't even need to use a plate that has iron sites on it because the EPS Carry has rear sites built into the optic...I wish they did that with the SCS, it would have made the whole situation so much simpler!! Doc, that but plug is called a Set Screw in the U.S. and a Grub Screw in the UK. They are available at any hardware store for a few cents. Lowes, Home Depot, ACE, you name it. KnifeMaker Retired after over 47+ years in the Craft. I'm surprised that a rear sight has to be installed as most Holosun optics have one made in the rear of the body of the optic. Wonder why they dropped this feature?

Yup, that’s essentially what it is, a set screw. Great point. Only a few Holosuns have the rear sight feature, but I do wish more did. I have a video coming out fairly soon with the new Holosun EPS Carry mounted to my CZ Shadow 2 Compact, which does have rear sight, while the regular EPS does not. Go figure. I appreciate your comment.

If you are only concerned about the single, open hole, you install a set screw with some blue locktite.

That was actually my plan and that's exactly what this is...it just does it very neatly and gives you a more finished look. I think it only cost around $2 (plus $7 for S&H 🙄).

I think I’m gonna buy it again. I sold it for the C2 but want the new cs now. I still can’t carry this gun, it’s so uncomfortable compared to my g43x Glock.

It is a great gun, but you’ll never be able to carry it like your Glock 43X. However, there are systems available that make carrying the CS pretty comfortable and doable. I hope to do a video soon showing some of the systems that have worked for me, and even those that have not. Start carrying your C2…then when you switch to the CS, it will feel like the 43X😉. @@DrTacI couldn’t conceal the G43X well. The grip angle would always cause it to print too much. The CS carries better for me although it’s heavier.

@@jvz1448No problem carrying and concealing my 48 MOS with a EPS carry or my G19 . I wear a XL shirt and no problem printing. I carry appendix on both of them👍🏾👍🏾

Yeah but it isnt optimized for conceal carry. Even the dwx compact is thick and heavy.

You can also convert the shadow 2 compact to SAO with a lighter trigger for about $400

@@jvz1448 Actually, the CZ Shadow 2 Compact's DA first shot is one of its most attractive features as a conceal carry gun.

I've found the opposite to be true for me, when it comes to red dots and situational awareness. The optic gives me tunnel vision and nothing out of the TV screen exists. Actually looking back at nearly 30 years of duty carry never were my sights used period. It was always too fast for sights to even be noticed.

As for the point-and-shoot scenarios, I completely agree with you, especially in the quick, down and dirty situations you are referring to. However, it sounds to me like you are not using your red dots correctly. Red dots allow for the ultimate in situational awareness if used correctly; both eyes should be open and your focus should be on the target, but your peripheral vision should be maximized. To prove to yourself how effective a red dot is...look at your target keeping both eyes open, then block the target side of the red dot, and you should find that in your vision, the red dot remains on the target...your brain is wonderful tool😎

You are not wrong. It is fully torqued down and appears to be quite stable. My best guess is the stabilizing pins/posts are slightly long… But they shouldn’t be.

It is a Rogue Apparatus holster (which so far I love)...I was very interested in Bitterroot, but I had too much difficulty navigating their websight...but their holsters are great.

i always loved the idea of carrying my cs until i remembered that if you're every in an incident it will get locked up in evidence forever. so i'd rather just carry my cheaper guns lol

So my feelings on this are simple...if I'm ever in a situation where I need to use a gun, I want the gun that I can shoot the fastest and most accurately to protect my loved ones and myself. The gun I want to carry is not necessarily the most expensive, but it better be the gun I can shoot the best, because if I am unable to walk away from the situation, really how much money did I save by carrying an inferior firearm?...or worse, if I am not able to save all of my loved ones, I would always blame myself if I knowingly left my best gun at home, to save a couple of bucks, even if it wouldn't have made a difference I would always wonder, 'what if?' In the big picture, if you're only talking a couple of thousand dollars, you really have to ask yourself, 'What's your life worth?'

@@DrTac i completely agree with you but but the difference in my shooting ability between a $500 gun and a $3,000 gun is marginal to the point where i dont have it as my designated carry. granted i still do carry it , and always hope i never have to use it.
