A very methodical and organized critique of the CS.... mixed in with some very appreciated potato humor. Thanks. For the record, after 35 years of carrying pistols professionally and now as a private person, ranging through a S&W .38 revolver, Beretta 92F, an innumerable list of Glocks, and an H&K, the CS is my favorite EDC gun of all time. It out shines every pistol I've ever owned, including significantly larger ones. And thanks for making one of the few holsters available for it too!

Try the FN REFLEX with the factory 15-rd mag, your fav RMR, and light. Truly amazing EDC, very nice trigger, runs flawlessly, accurately, conceals easily, and it gives we men with big hands plenty of grip surface with the 15-rd mag. I love the Staccato XC that I own, though for a reliable high-performance EDC at a much kinder price, the FN REFLEX has won me over.

What holster do you guys use for the 2024 CS (with or without light)
@hammerarmament14 күн бұрын
@@fearnonebutone4977 it depends on what your intended purpose is. All of our holster models have the CS as an option. Our Loki holster is for concealment (iwb) Thunder classic is a good range use/competition/all around holster. Lightning is the same as the Thunder classic but for light bearing versions. I have the 2024 CS and added an antimatter wing to my TLR Sub 7. Now my CS won’t fit into my Tenicor holster. Do you have a holster that would work for me? I like the idea of maybe getting one of your C (new C) holsters and trying that. 👊🏼 I am a human that shoots guns.

@@triggersandtech we do not have anything for that. If you really like that wing, definitely don’t watch our video on thumbrests where I refer to them as “pussy pedals” and “training wheels for guns”. My honest advice is spending time doing the Doubles drill. You can make huge improvements in a relatively short amount of time in terms of recoil management with that drill.

I have the 2023. Like the slight offset between the slide and the frame. Makes it easy to have a tactile feel of where your thumb goes. I carried the Glock 48 and hated shooting it. This I love (also have an XC). It is an amazing gun, so easy to shoot and with practice, easy to shoot very accurately. Great choice and easy to conceal.
@hammerarmament2 ай бұрын
@@sf2189 I don’t think I noticed a difference on that offset personally but that’s an interesting point.
@sf21892 ай бұрын
That’s the only difference between the 23 and 24 - or the biggest at least. Not a big deal - just have so many hours on the 23 that when I shot the 24 I noticed. The 24 the slide and frame are the same width unlike mine.
@hammerarmament2 ай бұрын
Yes, there is definitely a difference in physical dimensions, which is why holster compatibility is affected. I just didn’t notice it while shooting. My support hand thumb sits lower on the frame so I suppose it depends on your individual grip of whether you notice it or not.

i can’t get this in CA, but I have the CZ 2075 RAMI (their sub compact double stack metal hammerfired option) and I shoot it so much better than I shoot striker fired polymer subcompacts. The extra weight is trivial compared to the better ergos and performance.

I have a 2024 C, which is the same size as the CS with an extra 0.5" slide/barrel. It's kind of a pain in the ass to conceal (strong side IWB) I've found, with the larger baseplate on the 16rd (retrofitted to 15rd I guess, per staccato?) and the taller sights. Side by side it's actually the same height as a glock 17 with the mag inserted.

I wish there was a pocket carry grip. But this is just a downside of 2011s. Having a separate grip means they're always going to be wider/bigger than they could be
@hammerarmament19 күн бұрын
@@cl3826 whether that is a downside or not is going to depend on your hand size. For me personally, most full size polymer guns have grips that are too small already. The CS is the absolute smallest that I’d be willing to carry.

Staccato did away with the 16rd mag. You can order a free follower and spring if you contact them. I find my hands (large) much more easily grip and control the cs than my staccato P. I’d sell my p for the new c any day.
@hammerarmament2 ай бұрын
@@svenskaskene199 have you tried the new C yet? If so, did it have the compact or full size grip? The tricky thing with hand sizes and grip sizes is that hands can vary quite a bit in size and shape, even within a category( large for example). Some “large “ hands have large palms and short fingers and vise versa. It can make finding a gun that allows for proper support hand contact with a 2 handed grip difficult for large handed folks. For me, the CS compact grip is the smaller I can go, and it offers more contact space than some polymer guns with large grip panels installed. At any rate, if you are shopping for a new gun I always suggest trying your choice at the range before you buy, if possible.

It’s a great gun but since staccatos aren’t drop safe 100% I’d never carry it. Granted the only time it goes off of it’s dropped muzzle down from like a height from 6 feet. But still you never know what can happen in the real world, and I value my family jewels too much to carry one.
@hammerarmament2 ай бұрын
@@davidtevis8978 this is something that has always existed but the collective gun community just recently “remembered” due to Ben stoeger and then Garand thumb videos on the subject. It’s something worth considering for sure. However, it is a very specific instance that they can go off ( dropped muzzle down on a hard surface like you mentioned). For me, this seems like such an unlikely scenario that it’s not a great concern. Whereas “safer” options like the sig P320 seem to go off in their holsters on their own at an alarming rate, I can’t find reports of 1911/2011’s not being muzzle down drop safe actually causing an issue.
