I think it's actually fairly likely that Poaching Seashore takes place in the Alternate Universe, as there is a sign in it that refers to the 'Higashikata Estate,' which unless Part 4 Josuke suddenly became very wealthy, means this sign is referring to the Higashikata Estate in Part 8.

Usagi also makes the specific distinction that the rocks are made from a'a lava. The Hawaiian language specifies two types of lava; the rough, spiny a'a (pronounced AH-ah) and the smooth, pancake-batter-like pahoehoe (pronounced pa-HOY-hoy). The distinction might prove to be important here.

My personal guess is that the volcanos & cooled lava that Rohan's investigating are yet another unnatural land formation related to Stands in the SBR-verse. In SBR, we had the Devil's Palm in mainland USA, & in JoJolion we had the Wall Eyes in Morioh. Perhaps these volcanos, aren't Hawaii's natural volcanos, but something similarly bizarre? Also, it's Usagi with a hard G, like the Sailor Moon protagonist & the Japanese word for rabbit.

I think this chapter might have a hint for how November Rain works. I think Jodio will later be able to put certain things into the water droplets. I think this, because there's really no way one of the cactus needle just bounced into Rohan's finger during the rain. It was too far away and Rohan makes a mental note specifically about the needle to deduce that the rain might be a stand ability.

My theory is that the lava rocks are from a meteor similar to the one that made the stand arrows from the og universe, or the meteor from part 7 that created the Devil's Palm. It could even be that same phenomenon like the Devil's Palm or Wall Eyes, maybe something like Core Mountain.

I'm really excited to see what the Stand battles in this part will be like because none of the main cast have combat oriented abilities. Which is why they're currently getting rocked by a cat with some string lmao Stand battles have never really been pure contests of strength but JOJOLands seems like it'll involve the most strategy and teamwork, which is something I really enjoyed about my favorite part Golden Wind :))

The entire idea of Thus Spoke is that it follows part 4 Rohan, this can even be seen in the page prior to Hot Summer Martha deliberately explaining that it's part 4 Rohan and not an alternative.

I think it would be very interesting, wild if this chapter or Jojolands was Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe in Rohan pov where the rocks are one of the active plot threads of this arc. Not far fetched asking for something Tarantino esque since you can notice Araki loves Tarantino movies alot and his style of writting is very used on Jojo since we have seen events out of order in order to make a puzzle to get into the source of it ll. Plus, Jojo usage of blood and killing in alot of part over the years that does make it feel like a Tarantino movie.

I think its pretty safe to assume that cat is the part of enemy stand user group which will act as an early villans (or maybe they're already part of a final villan group), considering how villan driven the jojo series is and how araki seems to be pulling up possibly faster with every remarkable jojo theme in jojolands (first ever main cast established entirely within chapter one, we may risk saying the same about protagonist). The enemy group propably actually wants the lava shard from the safe since they're part of the grander scheme, and if dragona took the lava shard then we might see the plot where they're being chased by the enemy group because of lava shard while thinking its because of stolen diamond. Anyway, that's just some hot takes, the one thing I'm betting my bucks on tho is that the cat is member of the third party. Beside that, nice review, good thing you mentioned the most adding up possibility considering rohan's p9 apperance, the awarness that this can't be p4 rohan must be spread

I could easily see how the gang could operate. They steal some bag, which is locked. Dragona uses Smooth Operators to open it. Usagi uses Matte Kudasai to make a copy of it to ease suspicion. Paco takes it and hides it with the Hustle. (Maybe even in his own injuries.) and Jodio is like if they are caught.

Had the tourist been anyone but Rohan I would have guessed he was working on some way to turn lava into diamonds. But with Rohan I'm more inclined to think that the diamond is the result of a failed experiment rather than a goal. What that can be I have no clue yet. I'm hoping that the cooled lava doesn't grant stands. We've had enough stand granting items with the arrows many appearances, the disks, corpse parts etc. I'm hoping for something fresh. Besides, hunting for stand granting things is more of a Joestar family and Speedwagon thing, Rohan just stumbles upon them. Unless Rohans middle names start with E and O I think he is ill suited to also be alternate universe Speedwagon.

Another thought I had was that the ´string stand´ is in reality not a stand but a rock animal (a silicon-based life form) which escaped from the volcanic rock inside the safe when it was opened. The cat could be of course a stand user but maybe it is just coincidence and the cat is just strolling a round. Could be a stretch but I found the thought interesting.

Long Term prediction: Lava rocks will allow natural stand users to requiem in some way. to me it felt like Part 7 was like Part 1 & 2 and Part 8 like Parts 3 & 4, i'd think Part 9 would be 5 & 6. I'll come back to this comment when the part is ending
