I got out into the freedom area by jumping diagonal off the walkway rail so I was on the floor inside (there is a lower tier you can get to which won't let you out, but being on the same floor but in the dark, I could go out and explore once door was fully down. you can also make this jump straight out from the rail, but it was tricky to do and not trigger the ending outro

@@equipboardsubmission yeah, i was able to explore the area, making this particular jump off one of the only walkable out of bounds places that isn’t just a dark trap like sequels to the bottom of the mind facility.

@@equipboardsubmission final update - I found recently (and it's likely accidental while they were fixing an issue where the main path was messing up, and they don't realize) that the way out was patched closed, but I successfully copied the files in the game folder from my other PC that had not updated since May 5, and it still works.
