IMO, what BINI represents is the progression of the "idol" theme. Yes the music and choreo is there but they also want to breakout of the "all sunshine and rainbows" mold of being an idol. They wanted to be seen as real people creating art and they want to interact to their fans as genuine as possible. They get angry, they cry, they laugh - they're real. And for a country like The PH who values authenticity even in music, we just got enamored by them. We can relate not just because they are Filipino and they're amazing performers but because they're real people.

I think its because bini is really polished. Great singing, synchronize dancing, catchy songs, great visuals, awesome styling & makeup amd the mvs are decent too. They could easily compete with the idol industry in korea. I think the fact that star magic was able to invest in them is the reason why they captured so many hearts in the ph. They still have room for improvement but they are doing super well right now.

And their rise to fame is really inspiring. Before Pantropiko, they weren't really that famous and even I knew them since debut but didn't really listen to their songs. They also talked about giving up before because despite having fans, they felt like their efforts are amounting to nothing. I'm glad they didn't because who would've thought that a p-pop group who barely anyone knew before, is now being accepted with open arms and is dubbed as the nation's girl group. I'm really proud of them and it warms my heart how pinoys who weren't even interested in idol music is now enjoying their songs

you explained how BINI differs from sb19 and mnl48 so well. sb19 is definitely a talented group and i wish they weren't ridiculed sm especially when they started. honestly, my kpop stan phase is hanging by a thread since a year ago. having bini gives me excitement. their story makes me wanna root for them. they're excellent in what they do and has good personality. you'll never doubt filipinos when it comes to vocals and performances. they just need support and investment locally. i wish for BINI's success outside of Ph as well as for other Ppop and SEA groups.

The release gap of each group actually doesn't change that much, ranging mostly from 3 to 6 months. There is a trend of pre-release track going on right now, but officially it still takes about such amount of time to prepare for a comeback. The quantity problem lies in the number of groups promoting. As the industry expands, more groups are introduced each day.

honestly speaking bini penetrated it whole, you/we can hear theyre songs around the neighborhood, unlike the other ph groups,they only penetrates half and focus in international. im glad to know we have this boy and girl group now on international stages. bini`s intnl. entry 'cherry on top' is not the first coz they already release 'born to win' before trying their luck in international before cause they cant penetrate ph mass. but hard work pays off. im glad they ddnt give up and they keep pushing it. their stories makes me cry it was so harsh so harsh, but still they did a really good job. goodluck to them. ❤

I feel like this video is getting us stans back on the same page, and the crescendo that was introducing BINI left a really good impression! This makes me want to turn an eye to independent entertainment companies (globally) which are much smaller in scale and see what can be done to platform those grassroots brands. I wasn't really fond of our own pop music until bini. I used to only listen to korean, english, and other countries' music but our own. Not only did I start to listen to bini's music but I also started to listen to other filipino songs. The song's mvs where bini members appeared in, the songs that are used in bini edits, the songs that bini covers, I never thought we had so many good songs. It's even better because I completely understand the songs without a need for translation. I've never been more proud to be filipino than I am now.

"indifferent or skeptical of k-pop" This is me, I'm a filipino-american man, 44 years old retired US Army. My playlist consists of nothing but 80s&90s songs and i strongly dislike idol groups especially k-pop. I say this to illustrate that i'm probably the farthest from an idol group fan that you can get. However, my teen daughter loves Bini and i would hear their songs whenever she played them. Over time i started to really like Bini and become a huge fan of theirs, I would watch their content on youtube with my daughter to bond with her and the more i learned about Bini the more i became a fan not only because they are talented and make good music, but because they are humble, gracious and wholesome human beings and a great role model for my daughter. I still dislike kpop and idol groups in general, but Bini is the only exception.

Im 41 man and im a diehard rock alternative indie alt fan,but one day my cousin and brother who were both gen z played bini mvs on my tv,at first i didnt really made much out of it but you know how yt puts recos on your acct and out of curiosity i started watching some of their videos interviews and their bini core and thats what got me,their personality and knowing all their struggles before getting popular,in the midst of my rock and alt playlist,bini became my only exception and im proud to have a group that filipinos can be proud of

​@@johnweak8157Bini Core is one of the things that made me a fan as it connects me to them on a more personal level; knowing the hardships they overcome as a group and individually makes me see them beyond as idols but as normal people. I think that kind of stuff is hidden from the public, usually in K-pop. They're not just being shown as their real selves by such videos where they show their struggle but also in their funny moments compilation videos, their sense of humor is very Filipino which is far from the Kpop idol style of comedy where they're very limited, and seems can only act in an Idol image in interviews while Bini is very chaotic in theirs and even in their personal posts or live streams it's the same thing. My fellow Cebuana is free to laugh like a maniac, while the Boholana is free to let anger control her brain, things like that 😂.

Elder millennial here talking: back in the late 90s and early 00s, Jpop dominated asia pacific through Anime and J dramas. It's not as powerful as K dramas are now, but it was pretty big. And then the anime: Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, Yu Gi Oh, Detective Conan, Studio Ghibli, Pokemon, Digimon. People felt that Naruto, Bleach, and Death Note were riding on coattails! And it was in this context thay i discovered the Jpop artists signed to Avex BoA and DBSK. I found out that they were korean after the fact, most of us did. It was Avex that managed worldwide idols first, and SM was smart to partner with them to promote their idols in Japan with them. The Kpop music formula caught on later when Jpop fell behind, but even now Avex is still on top of the game. (Btw WayV is just Chinese NCT its still managed by SM, and also DBSK did try to release a Chinese mini album of chinese versions of their songs, BoA released chinese versions too, and SuJu M was a whole subunit that promoted separate albums in China. SM was the HYBE of the last 00s and got complacent. They went to all 3 big markets and succeeded. They did pave the way. Even the new 2024 all British boy group project is by SM.)

Well done, you couldn't have said it any better. I used to not vibe with P-pop years ago, something about how it sounds and how it's music is not giving, but after discovering BINI, I kinda vibe with their songs a lot and realize that they do make such good music. Something about them makes me proud as a filipino that we have produced a group like them, talented, humorous, far from the idol image that we get used in K-pop. And one thing leads to another I also discovered underrated P-pop groups that have good songs like Alamat (because of Bini Jhoanna 🥹) and all I can say we might not have the best MV productions, but we do know how to make our music.

Gotta give flowers to MNL48 who really started the Idol trend in the mainstream media while SB19 was slowly getting traction of virality on Twitter/X. MNL48 could have worked and might be a top GG in the country if aren't for Halo Halo Ent (MNL48's company) didn't screw up everything. From the theatre in Eton Centris, the mismanagement of the girls, and many more. It was a good decision of SB19 to leave their company aka ShowBT which could have limited their freedom, the success and the mistreatment from the company. As for BINI, they struck gold due to the popularity of Pantropiko in TikTok and broke into mainstream media. Even my cousin who thinks idol music was meh got into them which was a surprise. I don't know much about other pop groups in SEA, I think we lack the quality and exposure to discover these groups. I gotta give thanks to EXO Lay and Show it All who were able to showcase SEA girl groups to the Chinese market and even the international market. It's a matter of time before these groups from our countries can catch up with K-pop and be on the international stage.

Ppop has so much potential they just lack resources to produce a high quality MV. If SB19, MNL48, G22 and BINI will be given enough resources they will surely be aligned to big Kpop groups in International scene. Especially MANA and CRIMZONE of SB19 who could be hit internationally too if only they had enough resources to made an MV of it and If only they got no issue in their name their Hype Train in their World Tours won't disappear. As for BINI, welp! tbh BINI was truly talented since then and their MV quality is good so it's no wonder if they become a hit today and what's good on them is they are stepping up in their game so Filo fans' standard is always met

Pandemic robbed MNL48 a chance for popularity. I can still remember how MNL48 was gaining traction months before the lockdown. MNL48 fanbase requires interaction with the idols, and the pandemic hindered it. Hopefully, the group will be back this year.

I agree, like literally songs like Gento, Mana, What?, MAPA And their other ballads screams authentically Filipino. Not just based on the lyrics itself but also by the mv's aswell. I think filipino casuals are just blinded by the fact that SB19 was formerly owned by a philippine branch of korean company not knowing their true training system. Making the casuals think that they are less filipino. Matter of fact BINI was more trained by the korean coaches compared to SB19. From what I watched and understand from this video, it only shows that they basically like a girl group that does bubble gum pop genre. And majority of Filipinos likes this type of genre, that's why Twice is so popular here in the Philippines. But disagreeng the fact that SB19 is literally authentically Filipino just screams ignorance.
