I gotta give a shout out to the Lord. I play guitar and sing here and there. During the covid I like everyone else was sidelined. To get by, I prayed to the Lord to send me some new gospel songs ( when I play I always include at least two gospels). The Lord heard my pray and sent me songs so fast that I could NOT keep up. On 6/19/21 I was able to give an all gospel concert. A precious older woman as me if I knew this song. I had never heard it before. She asked me to try it out and please do it for her someday. I wrote it down so I wouldn't forget. Listened to this song this morning...Thank You Lord for sending this my way. I plan on giving Him all the glory and honor when I get the chance to perform it in the near future.

From Lew to Jimmy, they sounded like the same quartet and, at the same time, sounded different. They were still the Statlers, but better. They did reach a new level with Jimmy but Lew's voice had a uniqueness Jimmy's didn't. Jimmy's had a strength Lew's didn't. Either way I loved them and their music from the day I discovered them in the 60''s. They were wise in their choice of a successor for Lew. I also think the Statlers were some of the MOST clever lyric writers that ever wrote for ANY genre of music.
