This is a masterpiece. I've heard Part 2 pop up occasionally on my Pandora Metal channel for a while, but never before heard Part 3. Really. I agree. Very occasionally vocals don't ruin an album (Zao - Where Blood and Fire Bring Rest and Peace). 99% they throw the song out of whack. This is my first time to hear this band and song. I'm loving the guitar work.

I first discovered this song when I was in lowest point of life and that was earlier in February. I thought I lost everything around me to not be able to believe it.. instead I became aloof and bitter instead of dwelling on it.. is how it's viewed from the outside but inside I was really hurting to the point I cried to the 2nd part of the song at it's intro and I couldn't stop repeating it. That's when I said to let go and the rest of the song just guided me through it

Okay so out of all the people who have heard this album, most think this vocalist is better. I'd say I'm not alone. Idk man I think it's just something that will take some time getting used to. Way back when I was just getting into metal I had to get used to each vocalist if it was something I wasn't used to (first one was Kalmah or CoB I think lol). It took a while but I really got into it. I try to apply that same concept here. I can't let go of my best musical discovery in years T_T I miss Billy but I'm starting to warm up to their new vocalist more and more.

They need to have a version of this song where it just loops the first 3 minutes or so endlessly. Wretched's softer guitar work is so much more talented in that regard (in my opinion). But then again, I cannot stand their songs with vocals (too thrashy too for me)
@tetrarhetoric76479 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. The first 3mins crawls into my head for days. It's almost like the guitarist is using the guitar to scat out the melody. I think their instrumentals are more impressive and enjoyable than a lot of their more traditional "vocal" songs.
@bloozer6669 жыл бұрын
Joseph Dewers 100% agree. They should do a side project of just instrumentals and no screaming to annoy my ear lol.
@tetrarhetoric76479 жыл бұрын
That would be epic! I do actually enjoy screamed vocals but only when it's done well and fits with the music. Most of their vocal tracks make the music seem dumbed down.
