Stav's charm summed up very neatly. Unfunny people laugh when they make a joke, to signal that it's a joke, I hate hearing them, Stav's laugh is genuine and genuinely amused.

He's good with the crowd work. I've never been a fan of crowd work myself. To me it is lazy comedy and relies on too many variables, like a willing and engaged audience. It allows the comedian to come onstage with little or no material and just shoot the shit with the audience and call it a show. I prefer standup to be performed more like a monologue with specific jokes tied together by tight segues. That being said Stavros came up with a good joke on the spot about why the Iranian guy wasn't naked at the gathering. If you are a fan of crowd work Big Jay Oakerson is one of the best crowd work comedians I've seen.

Seriously, I have yet to see a dud of Stavvy doing crowd work. He can always pull some funny shit out of any situation. What’s another great thing is that he makes it feel less formal like it’s a group of friends in a room just talking and having a good time.
