Watching this made me extremely sad.😭 My Dad died because of a pituitary tumor. He was NOT supposed to though. It made his vision blurry, he was hallucinating. I was terrified that he was getting Alzheimer's at only 67. He finally found out he had a golfball sized, non-cancerous, slow-growing pituitary tumor. The kind of tumor that isn't life threatening & is usually EASY to remove. He had his 1st surgery, through his nasal cavity, to remove the tumor. It was a failure due to the sticky tumor growing around everything & it was too difficult to get it all. A month later, bi-frontal craniotomy. We were told it was a success. They were just waiting for his brain to recover from the surgery, & for him to wake up. Weeks passed, & he never fully woke up. He would sit up, talk, then lay back & be out of it again. I grilled the doctors. They couldn't figure out WHY he wasn't ok. Weeks passed, & I clung to hope, since he was supposed to be FINE. HE DIED OVER A MONTH LATER. Nobody knows why. His doctors were actually crying. I have felt dead since July 20th, 2012. He didn't recover, & I don't think I will either after 7 years of trying. It's SO much worse when you aren't prepared. God help me, & anyone else going through this. It is Hell on Earth. 💔💔💔

Because genetically he was a dwarf. He still had dwarfism when the pituitary tumor caused him to grow. The genetic markers for dwarfism would have still been there but the human grown hormone from the tumor caused him to grow to an abnormal height. He indeed had both at once.

The strangest case of dwarfism turned gigantism I have ever seem. You would never have thought that something of this nature was humanely possible. You have certainly made life mystery.

I thought gigantism happened if you had a pituitary tumor before your growth plates stopped growing. Acromegaly I thought was only if you had extra growth hormone after the growth plates stopped? Are you sure there isn’t more to this story? Acromegaly people are not necessarily tall- they have abnormally large feet, skull, maybe jaw, broad hands. Just trying to clarify.

There's something called figurative language and since its the same person thats "at the same time" was used and plus look at the persons knowledge not their mistakes providing such educational content is very impressive we all have typo mistakes or problem speaking English not everyone of us is born in European countries or America or Australia some countries doesn't even teach english so the fact he knows how to explain his videos in English is enough

Thank God for volume controls. I love it, around the 3 minute mark it says "But then a strange thing happened". As if shoe size doubling from a 10 to a 20 was not strange.

This isn't a English class! It is a KZbin video. If spelling errors irk you so much, maybe you need to stay of the internet, stop reading the newspaper, stop reading the teleprompter for tv shows etc... Spelling errors are all over.

There is a documentary about this same gigantism condition, SOMEWHERE, on KZbin, perhaps, "Real Stories" or Strange Medicine, etc, (? is that even a show) but its from around 10 years ago, & mainly features a young woman, who was of average size UNTIL her early twenties, and, well, it's very SAD, and she was very BRAVE. I highly recommend it for inspiration & a gratitude check...

This channel is trying to generate income for these videos, so it's essentially a job. When you have a job, you're expected to do it professionally. It takes seconds to check the grammar of a few sentences.
