Back in the day, my computer was so bad that Blood Raven's death animation would cause the game to crash. Eventually I ended up doing that quest via Open Battlenet, helped out as much as I could, and when I thought she was low enough I ran and hid in the crypts while the rest of the party killed her. Friends waiting with their computers and monitors back in the early 2000s (those were a pain to carry upstairs) for me to come home from work on fridays to play Diablo II in LAN. I was the only one with an own flat at the time and I had internet. I consider myself lucky to experience this awesome game. Diablo II was our favorite. I did play Diablo I, but I was too young to appreciate the story. Diablo III was okay and I found new friends to play with online for a while until it got boring (after the expansion). Will I play Diablo IV with all the $#17 going on with Blizzard? Maybe. Certainly not at release, but probably at some point, if I find the time.

I used to sit back and play both 1 & 2 with my uncle Chris for hours at night, until the earliest of mornings.. I loved 1,2, and 3..I'm waiting for 4!!

I was with you till you said 3. It's just not good. Good time passer. Was good to see the story continue on but that's about it. Where diablo 2 I could play 10 hours a day for Whole summer when I was young.

@@d_no_allyn_86 Hell, I enjoyed it personally. I know quite a few people were not to big on it, I enjoyed the game play, and storyline and even more so once the expansion was released.

Never understood why they had to plunge the crystal into the wanderer's head. In D2, Marius carries Baal's soulstone for a while.
@shaifaingold40725 жыл бұрын
Suppossedly, he did it to prevent Diablo from taking another body and walking again on Sanctuary, using his own to incarcerate him, like Tal Rasha did in the past. Having bested him, he was the only one who was strong enough to keep the Lord of Terror on check. Best idea ever, right?
@taz0k25 жыл бұрын
1. The Wanderer's EQ was full (very plausable). 2. He didn't want to drop any of his epic loot, yet he had to carry the stone (also very plausible). 3. He creatively made a new EQ slot in his forehead (not plausable. He would have used that potential slot way earlier to store a potion, ring or an extra dagger (yes!)).

The memories! I played this for years till I grew up! Then I forgot about it when I went to university, then a decade later started playing D3 and now D4 is coming. For the past 3 decades, this game has been a big part of my life.

People keep saying this and I just don't hear it. Nevermind Connery's accent, but his voice is bold and deep and he says is "sh"s hilariously. Cain on the other hand is not as deep, and his voice is reminiscent of a creaking door. I can do a hella accurate Cain voice.... for some reason.

Same here. I know it's been over 20 years since I last played it but I still remember my first encounter with The Butcher very well. I opened a door, he said Fresh Meat, I screamed, I ran, he chased after me, I screamed some more and ran some more. Cheesed him by staying inside a prison room/wall with bars and shoot him to death with a bow, although I was a warrior and my dex stats sucked. Took forever.

What i loved about diablo 1 and 2 was how it was some twisted demented dreamscape like berzerk. Then just like how berserk 2016 sucked so did diablo 3 because it lost that intimate feeling to the gameplay, graphics through imagination and story. We saw blood but lost the pain to it. Lost the insanity behind it and thats what diablos really about.. shame on blizard for destroying that.

I was devestated when deckard died. He was the grandad voice of my favourite game as a teenager, diablo 1. I hope they throw some audio clips from this voice actor in D4 - lore stuff from found books again.
