Being able to just wipe out the fort with minimal backup like that is one of the reasons why I wish the game gave you the option to join the Rangers. Could get a Sequoia you actually earned, you could probably get a unique version of the Veteran Ranger armor that doesn't count as regular faction armor (and avoid all the headaches therein), and best of all you'd probably get new dialogue options with NCR peons that reflect your authority. On that same note, it'd also be nice if you could become an official member of the Frumentarii (as opposed to being one in all but name) and ACTUALLY get to run New Vegas. I mean, you HAVE control of all the robots. The hell's stopping you from making the families keep paying "the house cut"?

You get another achievement if you kill him with a knife, like how the real Caesar was killed. I know you also get an achievement for eating all of the major faction leaders, House and Caesar included, if you have the Cannibal perk.

You know, that's something that no one really touch on, the Lucky 38 is still there in the NCR ending. The OSI would for sure be all over those House's databases following annexation. (hell there even a robot army that should be left untouched under the fort) Also you got to love that the one faction that has the MOST reason to want the BoS died (countless troopers died due to them wanting to control technology) is the one that will be most willing to let them live. (there also yes-man but that's the player deciding to let them live.)

The Yes Man ending has the most options with the Brotherhood: You can destroy them, convince them to side with you, or... just ignore them altogether and never even meet them.

For the assassination attempt, I think the bomb is planted after a set amount of time and the ranger is taken out at a set point as well, so if you just immediately kill the engineer with a loud weapon, everyone will be alerted and the president leaves safely. It happened to me. I believe Rex can alert you to suspicious persons as well.

So apparently the Brotherhood hates the NCR so badly that they shoot you on site if you're wearing NCR faction armor... boy, was that a nasty surprise to get. I was just having a good ol' time running around in my newly acquired Ranger Veteran armor, when I ventured too close to the Hidden Valley bunker... and immediately started eating gatling laser fire. Needlessly said, THAT'S one previous save that I used damn near instantly

Thanks, Oxhorn, for showing how to spare the Brotherhood. Even though I'm not keen on the Brotherhood's tech hoarding nature, I have sided with the Brotherhood in each prior game release since Fallout 1. I join BoS in New Vegas as well and usually leave McNamara in charge. My current play through is a Yes Man ending but given this new knowledge I can see an NCR ending now for a future play through. I always saw the Mojave chapter of the BoS as the perfect entity to police tech from groups like the VanGraffs who specialize in selling hi-tech weapons to criminal elements and are a criminal element themselves. Just as the BoS can become a tech R&D resource to the wasteland in FO1 ending slides, I imagine the same for the Mojave chapter. I'm sure that McNamara could, eventually, be convinced to provide tech confiscated from raiders and Van Graff types to law enforcing agents like the NCR rangers, Law Bringers and the Courier provided the Knights were able to properly train and supervise. My couriers, chosen, vault dwellers, and lone wanderers always end up joining the BoS anyway always with that aim in mind to integrate the Brotherhood into the power structure without letting them take over.

As many times as I have played this I never knew I could recruit The Followers. I'll be sure to do that next time. I did get Arcade though, and the remnants. I found a way to complete the optional portion of this quest to tell the Ranger in charge about the Legion spy. You simply wait until the president's bird is in the air to tell him. Option completes and the president lives as they do not bring the bird back to put the president in the booby-trapped 'safe' room. FYI: I waited until the verti-bird crossed the road and had almost disappeared in the distance. Then telling the ranger about the spy he sends two troopers to take out the spy, one of whom dies just like telling the ranger before take off. This is especially helpful with low NCR fame as NCR will attack you for drawing your weapon with low NCR fame. You still need to sneak to the verti-bird to remove the bomb and sneak up to the tower to kill the sniper. I was idolized by NCR before installing Yes Man in my current play through so I didn't need to sneak.

When I see Ox setting the BoS bunker to self destruct I was like "What the hell are you thinking!? That's the Brotherhood you're destroying!" But when forging an alliance between the Brotherhood and the NCR I was like "Oh thank God there was that option 😊" Also, the Brotherhood, Enclave, NCR, and the Followers working together? they could have made an entire allied force like in Command & Conquer Red Alert :D.

Technically there is; you can disconnect the cerebral cortex, ending his ability to command his securitrons but technically leaving him alive. Not really sure that's a mercy though. He even says he'd rather you kill him than do that.

Talk to them to support the NCR. This is the better ending since a truce is negotiated between the two which results in more cooperation as a whole, as well as the I-15 and highway 95 is safer as the Brotherhood helps patrol it at after the end of the game

Its probably because of the bad blood between the two factions, and the ncr might not trust the brotherhood to help them, and as such might cause your rep to go down since you may have been tricked to let the brotherhood to potentially attack them. However, I think its better to unite the two factions for the perks both sides get.
