This would hvae been fun. Though I feel like we would have had to have Loomis in it more if he was alive. He would have been there to watch Myers be executed and would have likely continued to chase him to end the nightmare.

It would be nice, if this got done, even if it ended up on Peacock as a series. Plus, I've always loved the title, Halloween Returns (love the online poster mock-up!). In many ways, it's a lot like a follow-up/companion piece to Halloween 4: The Return Of Michael Myers. However, I would prefer it, if Michael wrote, "Town Of Death" or "Death To Town" on a wall...more evocative, eerie, and basic. Gary Oldman would've played the role well of Dr. Loomis. Thanks for the analysis, Sir.

I was never a fan of ditching Halloween 2 from the timeline but I can at least say unlike the Blumhouse films this film had a good reason to remove Halloween 2 from the timeline! In a lot of ways I wish we got this movie over the Blumhouse films! I think the main reason many prisoners on death row are there for so long is appeals take a long time and because it is the death penalty they are given many chances either to win their case or at least get their sentence changed to life in prison!

I heard the weakass excuse that because Blumhouse didn’t know if (2018) Halloween would be finically successful is why they went with a completely unoriginal name for a direct sequel to (1978) Halloween. Halloween 40 Years Later Halloween 2018 Both of those are original names for a direct sequel they could have used for a direct sequel that makes only the original Halloween movie as canon.

This sounds like a movie that could still be made. Though, would this cater to wide audiences or just niche fans like us, the same way a Jamie Lloyd movie would? I mean, I very selfishly would like a Jamie Lloyd movie, I understand why it is a very unrealistic idea. But, this film sounds like it could still be made.
@entertainmentwizard270310 ай бұрын
A Jamie Lloyd movie is viable, just make sure the budget and market costs are kept low! This movie could not happen now unfortunately without getting the Weinstein's involved because they I believe still have the rights to this script and of course no one wants them anywhere near Halloween ever again and I completely agree with that!
@TheLostRiverDriveIn10 ай бұрын
Oh it absolutely could! And with the series needing a new start now, this would be great

I still think that the decision to call the 2018 Halloween film "Halloween" is ridiculous. The film should have been called "Halloween Returns".

Donald Pleasence is Halloween and without him the franchise sucks. Gary is great but he’s not as great as Donald. As for McDowell, his version was insulting turning the hero into more of a villain. Loomis will always be the hero of the franchise and it died with Donald Pleasence.

OH SURE, we deserved a rather lackluster sequel that not only ruins the timeline of the entire franchise in the most laughable way possible worse than what Texas Chainsaw 3D gave us, but lacks any real purpose for existing. Also, we have this new random doctor in the mix that was around during Michael's childhood that was never heard of until NOW? And Loomis just spends the entire story absent for some reason until the very end. Another standalone nonsense that is better left on the bookshelf. Nick, go away. Your twisted love for these terrible stories just shows why I can never respect any ounce of you. And to think I had the nerve to "crush" on you as you so claimed. -_-
