But oddly enough, the king of this niche, MinecraftOnline, is often glossed over by many. So, in today's episode of Minecraft Uncovered, as part of a potential new series (up to you :P), we explore the decade-long history of MinecraftOnline, the oldest Minecraft server.

@@JohnMarstonIsBabygirl ironically this was the first server I ever joined on my own minecraft account, and if i'm correct was the first thing i did period once i got the game. i joined, quickly read through some of the rules (but I didn't even know what the server was, this was 8 years ago and I was about 9 years old so I just wanted to play) i walked through spawn and saw a cactus and broke it thinking it would get replaced automatically or something. walked around for about 2 minutes and found this maze made out of nether brick and i got really scared, thought something happened but it turned out i was banned for griefing for breaking a cactus and maybe a glass block

Hi there. I'm a staff member on the server. If any of you guys are going to join the server, please read and follow the rules. You are spawned into the rules when you first join. You also need your render distance below 16 to be able to join, too. We also take the rules very seriously. FAQs and answers to them: 1 "Why is the server laggy?" Server is laggy due to running outdated plugins as well as being stuck with 1.7.10's terrible multiplayer optimization. 2 "How do I get started?" You can get started by punching some trees at the tree farm next to the visitor center. You can also do /wilderness to find a spot to build at. Be ware you may get sent in the ocean or end up on someone else's build. 3 "Will the server update?" Yes, the server is going to be updated to 1.12.2. Admins are working on it. :) 4 "When will the server update and will lag be gone?" We don't when exactly the update will happen (soonTM) and lag will be fixed in the update.

The mods are quite strict. I was lagging and broke a glass block instead of a melon. It is nice that they are very understanding of honest mistakes. The lag at the time was very bad but the big draw isn't really to play like normal, its seeing the old builds. Personally my favorite was an entire pyramid made of redstone with rooms laid out inside. I wish I remembered the coords but it was pretty darn cool.

Former moderator here. The server is complete and utterly the worst. Like they wanted me to ban a few people for quite LITERALLY NOTHING like I get keeping things original but someone was trying to build and accidentally broke a torch and I was demanded to ban them immediately I resigned my moderator position after 3 days and it was horrible
