My friend being and engineer i can tell you your bike will break down multiple times. One reason is the bike frame is under alot of stress from the load and constant vibrations with the road. What you need to do is look for bike shock absorbers. Place one on the rear tire and front tires. That will reduce the stress taken by the frame and reduce the break downs that costs you lots of time and money.

I'm sorry to see your tricycle situation get broken again. Fortunately, this time, no injuries occurred. It's worth noting that Kenya is renowned for the World Safari Rally, known for its challenging terrain. Vehicles are specially adapted to navigate such conditions. Consider making adjustments to your tricycle to match, and you might conquer the world. Interestingly, you broke down near another Kenyan city, the 4th City.

That's really not too bad Yves, seeing that you are alive and well. I am not an engineer but I have to say the material used on the trike must be lightweight for the sake of easy mobility once in motion. I guess the manufacturer must be learning something also.. I agree.. the roads are well-constructed but going off the main road when looking for food, must be the reason to wreak havoc on the trike.. Oh.. I enjoy hearing the words that sound familiar with South African ones.. "Nguruwe" sounds almost like in Zulu, which is "Ngulube", meaning pork or hog.. I can't believe Kenyans have been so good with preserving wildlife.. It makes Kenya look so natural and pristine.. It would be a mistake for anyone not to visit Kenya in a lifetime.. Wow.. I am an older person I confess, but only now am I learning this.. We are indeed one people but were brainwashed to believe we were totally different simply by the colonists putting up endless borders to suit their conquest and subjugation. I am not suggesting that we change the borders willi-nilly as Julius Malema and his crowd are suggesting. What we need is to be able to visit each other more, without restrictive costs and procedures... We need to love each other as Africans, and even go as far as marrying each other as it must have been the case hundreds of years ago.. I hope you'll visit South Africa again and proudly so, because this part of the continent belongs to you too just as Kenya belongs to me too because I am African... .
@cobwebtheorem753810 ай бұрын
"Bantu" is a linguistic term. The hundreds, if not over 1,000 Bantu languages all over central, eastern and southern Africa share so many root words and grammatical structure. Ubuntu in South Africa is Utu in eastern and central Africa. The twin mountains of Namibia (Omatako) would have been named the same in eastern Africa. Matako is buttocks in Swahili, you see 😀
@dochere-bolelwang10 ай бұрын
I am feeling a bit upset that I didn't get to learn this in school like many of my countrymen and women.. He just hinsted he won't get to Kisumu by eating "breakfast of champions".. I think he wil go though eldoret, then onwards onto Malaba border. He is actually on a straight course for Malaba, I don't think he would detour towards Busia border.

Kenya loves you Kino Yves no wonder the bike is refusing to leave Kenya. Consider applying for Kenyan citizenship as you continue with your vlogging. Kenya is indeed your second home. You are actually mingling very well with your fellow Kenyans. She is a beautiful and a blessed country. Hospitality is top notch. Consider it.

Kino, I have lived and travelled in southern Africa for 25 years and I think you are doing everything right. Your number one risk is traffic, but you know that by now. Keep safe and happy and bringing us the taste of Africa to our armchair in Europe. I see you are not recording the nightlife action... good call. I´ll follow you all the way to Cape Town for sure.

@@mcdonaldthabisobobokwe1610 Kino will be fine in SA. I am sure he is not going to be riding the N1. Rural roads and villages are as dangerous or safe as any other Eastern Africa country. He knows what he is doing.

Instead of getting another frame, get one of "jatelos" to do "fabricason" of a stronger or to reinforce your current frame, and this will be the end of this issues

Don't let the begging get to you. Most Kenyans are wired to ask for help from others rather than help themselves. From donors, the government, foreigners, rich relatives..etc It's a mentality we really need to work on.
