Ma'ara Maeva tells the legend of the Mangaian brothers Raumea and Te Uanuku and how this story has distinguished Mangaian carvings to this day. Mangaia is an island in the Cook Islands. Raumea is the oldest brother, followed by Te Uanuku, then Ikoke - Ma'ara is a descendant of Ikoke.
