I love Scotty Cameron and I game a Newport 2. However Tiger in his prime basically pushed every single golf brand through the stratosphere. Golf was not mainstream and I'd argue that Cameron and Nike Golf would not have flourished like where they are at now.

A great friend and Master Putter maker. His Cameron Nation of Cameron collectors is massive and he really enjoys interacting with them..from their age of 13 to 80..they follow him, his work. Scotty listens and interacts with them. He is the rock star for the Titleist's line. They are the ball company, however, they really do putters and wedges!!!!! His Scotty Cameron Gallery in Encino, California, a come -true dream of his, so the amateur can experience a "tour" fitting. Here you not only can arrange a fitting but also have the opportunity of obtaining a "Tour-like" custom fitted Putter. It is well worth the time and effort! Head covers can be addictive for collectors as well. His Putters are a functional piece of art!

Titleist employees have a nickname for him, Xerox. His first theft was the Ping anser.
@BuffaloNickel92 жыл бұрын
Haha he's an absolute xerox machine!! You got to give him credit, He's a very observant Xerox. He sits back, waits and watches to see what Putters are successful from other makers and manufacturers... Then, he simply takes a handful of that model putter in his shop to see how they are built. he studies the design and what the construction is underneath... Then he replicates the design... sometimes 99.9% and sometimes only a 97% copy with one or two small changes or Tweeks... it all started with the most iconic Putter of all time we know as "the modern Blade" or "Anser Style Putter"... The Ping Anser/Anser2 as stated above. It has continued recently with the Odyssey number 7 what he calls the "Phantom"... I'll let you fill in any ones he's Xerox'ed between the Anser back then and Odyssey #7 now...

To be a true rockstar.....you need dozens of uncredited, designers, engineers, graphic artists....build your brand for you.....and most importantly a Tiger Slam.
