It is still weird to use that weapon as troll. It is weird to me how Blizz decided to use this weapon as warrior artifact. Anyway all warrior artifacts are not so bound lore-wise to Horde.

Still should have been the Axe of Cenarius. I mean fuck, Broxigar is, IMO, the greatest Warrior in all of lore. He is untouched by any mortal being... I wish Broxigar was in our lore more than just a little tidbit.

Endeavor Tabarsi I beg to differ. That blade was forged with the SOUL intent of being used by Broxigar, a Warmachine, an Orc Warrior. What's the difference from that and Strom'Kar? A HUMAN 2h sword...

Endeavor Tabarsi That's not what you said. You said it doesn't fit well with the Warrior Class, but how is slaughtering 10's of thousands of Legion demons NOT warrior enough? I think the Axe is PERFECT for the Origins of a Warrior, druidic magic or not. Strom'kar falls into the same category by your logic.

The problem with the Axe of Cenarius is that it is a VERY VERY plain looking weapon. It looks like a very plain carved wooden axe, and its power comes from the druidic enchantment Cenarius placed on it. This was even commented on in War of the Ancients, when demons at first laughed when Brox charged at them with what looked like a wooden axe. I'm not saying it would be a bad weapon, because it has some neat lore behind it. But Blizzard wanted the artifacts to have a very unique look, and the Axe of Cenarius is too plain looking for what they were going for. I personally was hoping for Gorehowl, but I have a feeling they didn't do that because it has been useable in-game since Burning Crusade. That said, I think the lore behind Strom'kar is really neat, and it was awesome to finally hear some more history of Thoradin and Arathor. We always knew Thoradin existed (because Thoradin's Wall is named after him), and we knew he was the original founder of Strom (now Stromgarde) and the one to unite the human clans into the first kingdom. But beyond that we knew little of him.

For what it's worth, the model of the "Axe of Cenarius" that Brox uses in the Black Rook Hold flashback uses the same model as The Betrayer of Humanity, a drop off of Kel'thuzad in 25m Naxxramus, if you'd like to transmog that and feel like you're actually wielding the Axe of Cenarius

Honestly, I half-expected the Arms Warrior artifact would be Gorehowl. Like, the Gorehowl Garrosh took with him to DraenoR was just LEFT next to his body, and the quest to retrieve it would take players to an ogre stronghold and fight their way to take it back.

runedragon1985 You forgot that Gul'dan took Gorehowl from the field and used it to taunt Grommash. Consequently, during the final 'Draenor is free!' Cinematic you see Grom raising Gorehowl up. So yeah, no Ogres involved I'm afraid

you can get Gorehowl from the last boss in the Blood Furnace in Outlands

Blood furnace dungoeon doesnt drop Gorehowl its just warsong axe (there is small visual difference) if u want gorehowl u can drop it in old karazhan from last boss.

I absolutely love the hidden effect of terrorizing Troll mobs (it even works in ToT), if a Darkspear (playable) Troll wielded it, he/she would have to be majorly ballsy. Also, I liked what they were going for in the battle against Zakahj by saying he was changing tactics, as if to inform a strategic warrior (part of the Arms class fantasy) to change his/her own tactics. Unfortunately, there's not much to that fight, and even the game mechanics of Arms is just so basic and completely lacking in that fantasy. I like the DPS that my Arms warrior has, but I wish it could be a funner spec to play like Fury.

Everytime you do a dungeon/raid containing trolls for example in throne of thunder or zul'gurub, while having this sword equipped they instantly get feared because of the sword.

if you are going to farm any raid, before you are max level as a warrior, make sure strom'kar is your transmog, as just being transmogged it will terrify trolls.

Imagine if the weapon was Trol'kalar instead the Trolls would go crazy. But that would be a little to easy as Thoras has the sword, it doesn't have that same crazy awesome weapon appearance, and it belongs to the Trollbane family.

Winthrop Augustine Thoras Trollbane is resurrected as horseman. He was also a king of Stromgarde but later... During the 2nd war when Alliance was formed.
