I think a lot of the media did not like him back in his playing days. Him holding out, they felt he was a cocky, arrogant diva. And often over the years media and sports journalist can shape the narrative about an athletes legacy, and they tarnished his legacy to a certain degree. He has THREE primetime, all-time records. Rookie season, single season and playoff game. He deserves his props.

Dallas like every other defense Dickerson faced, planned, strategized and focused their entire game plan around stopping ED. I was 14 years old on this particular raining Saturday this video shows me 32 and 49 seconds into this video . When my late grandfather and I went to see the Rams take on Danny White and the Cowboys. We were so happy to see the Rams win and move on to the next round 1985. Yeah they lost to the Bears the following week. But No one really had a good game plan against the Bears in 1985, other than the Dolphins that year. Anyhow, as a 4 the Generation Los Angeles Rams game ticket holder and then Season Ticket Holders. We were true and supporters of our team. Every year they would have a great season but miss the Super Bowl because of the Vikings, Cowboys, in the 70's and Giants, Redskins in the 80's and the 49ers in the late 80's. Anyway, this was a great weekend that I will never ever forget. My great grandfather and grandfather and dad are gone now, so my son are now enjoying the games and reliving the yester-years of beloved it Los Angeles Rams! Imagine this for a second, if the Rams would have never traded Eric Dickerson. Imagine the lethal weapons the Rams would have been with Dickerson and Everett alongside Henry Ellard, Ron Brown, Willie Anderson and Pete Holohan or Damon Johnson. How Super Bowls would have the Rams won or at least played at? We'll never know! Not with Greg Bell or Cleveland Gary, Gaston Green or David Lang. Aye! Georgia and John Shaw! Should have paid Eric what he wanted!
