She definitely was able to stay alive because of the ants! There’s a case of a lady who skydived out of a plane and her parachute didn’t work. She landed on the ground on top of an ant hill. The ant bites were able to pump adrenaline through her body the entire time and kept her alive till help arrived and she survived! I’m pretty sure that’s what kept that poor 8 year old baby alive ❤

When I looked at IVF, we were quoted $25,000 per cycle and it usually takes 3 cycles to conceive. I heard this story years ago, but it really hits differently as an adult with my own traumas. I’m so glad to hear things are going well for her now. What a horrific nightmare!

Hey, I’m a native of Houston , Texas. I’m so glad you moved here and you inspired me to reach out. I grew up in the suburbs of Houston back then. I grew up in Spring Branch, west of I-10 of Houston. In elementary school I attended Woodvie Elementary school. There was a guy there that was a grade or two above me his name is Robert “Bob” Coulson. You should look him up and do a show by a hometown “murderer “ I graduated in 1987 and remember some parts of the story. I literally grew up 2 streets over from them. He and his older sister were adopted by the Coulsons. He ended up murdering his entire family for the insurance money. I have a friend in high school who knew the driver that drove him away from the scene of the crime. He ended up caught and sentenced to death. I think he was executed around 1996, I’m not sure. It’s a crime I’ve never heard covered and close to home. I reached out to because I LOVE your channel and a PROUD Houstonian!! Welcome! We love you!! There’s more to the story so if you want anymore information from me, just reach out. I DON’T expect a response from you at all. I just thought your viewers would love this case. He suffocated them, set the house on fire! The house was leveled and a new house constructed but every time I drive by there, I remember the Coulson family. Thank you for listening!! I ♥️ U!!

Would you consider covering the case of Reena Virk from Saanich, BC, Canada? She was 14 year old girl who was brutally beaten and then murdered by her teenage "friends" in 1997. It's a heart breaking case and one I've never seen covered on KZbin. I see one of her murderers names pop up in the news often as the Parole Board keeps trying to get her back out into society (which she seems to struggle with but they keep on trying) but I feel as if Reena has been forgotten. Thanks as always for the video! 💜

1 kilometer = .621371 of a mile...so lived like 2miles away from her. Thats SO close omg. He probably had watched her playing outside or walking home from school even, what a piece of sh*t, he was. He actually didn't even care WHO (age wise) he was raping/murdering, he has got to have other victims that we dont know about. I cant believe he only did 3 yrs out of a 12 yr sentence either. Our justice system is a joke, I mean he only got 12 yrs to begin with, just ridiculous!

Wow this one hit different. How terrible. :/ it makes me sick to think how scared she must have been and how her mom must feel after having her go back to her bed that night.... ugh it's obviously not her fault but I can't imagine. Zara I love your channel and how you cover these cases. You should cover the more recent case of Sam Bateman, he's an extremist Mormon polygamist who is being charged with all kinds of different things pertaining to the multiple women and young girls he "married" and held captive. It's very shocking and there's a lot of info out there on it right now. Would be interested to hear your take on it.

These kinds of violent predators are total narcissists who feel no remorse and can never be rehabilitated. I don’t understand why they get light sentences only to get released and do it again . What a coward , he can torture and try to murder people but he can’t take jail or his consequences?

This case is always hard to listen to or talk about no matter how many times you've heard it! I can't remember if it was a special I watched or I read it somewhere but I remember them saying the piss ants (thats what we call the red hitting ants) was what kept her alive that every time her body would start to shut down the ants hitting her so much much at one time would shock her system enough to restart it that if he hadn't let her were she was (one top of a of a piss ant hill) her body would have shut down long before she was found. And I don't believe for a second that he cared about if she lived or not if he was he wouldn't have done it again, he was upset he caught caught & happy that they couldn't charge him for murder I think he thought he would get off easy because of that & thats why he was so emotional it was part acting to make himself seen not to be a monster & part relived he wasn't facing a murder charge IMO he unalived himself when he found out that he was still looking at hard time, like life without parole even without the murder charge.

The guilt her mom felt, all for having her sleep in her own her. When my daughter was 2.5 years old my husband and I lived in TX we just moved there 4 days prior. He had to work ( active military) in the field. My daughter kept saying monster at the window, the whole 4 days we lived there. So the first night he was gone to work I had her sleep with me. Freaking "monster" came to my window. He said some horrible things, ( i can not put on here) what he was going to do to me but first to my daughter while he made me watch. I had a walk in closet At first I thought he was in there. Then he banged on the window hard and I realized he was outside. I slide outta bed as not to wake up my daughter. Got the phone and police. This "monster" took out the front and back porch lights foot prints showed where he had gone to all the doors/windows pry marks on the doors. I was on the phone to my family back in KY, when the police asked if I had any tattoos incase he comes back and KILLS ME so (since I didn't know anyone in TX) So the cops could identify my body. He said that to me my oldest brother lost it ( he was visiting our parent in KY from Cali) They never caught him. We moved right away. I felt guilty for those 4 prior nights telling my daughter "no monsters, they aren't real"
