Anastasia is likely supposed to be the spirit of Anastasia, daughter of Nicholas II, the Tsar of Russia who was killed during the March revolution. She was likely killed in St. Petersburg, where the Tsar lived in his palace. This "anomaly" could make sense as Anastasia taking her revenge on the people who killed her and her family.

The bones of the children were found in a pit, but perhaps in this universe they were deposited in what is now Keryev quarry, the alien artifact then could have absorbed anastasia's soul and then created an anomaly to hunt her killer, buried in St. Petersburg, and thus it stalks the tunnels as a disembodied spirit waiting until it can destroy the body of the killer.

What I think it really is is that the "anomaly" is in reality a "Dark one", for those who may not know about it, a "Dark one" is a tall, full black, stalking creature that belongs to The Metro novel/game series, there are some evidence of this, in some notes you can find the author of this to be called "Artyom", which is the main character of the novel and game series, also you play as him in The Metro game series of "Metro 2033" and "Last Light", and finally another note says that was writen by "Pavel", who is the guy you have to face on the "Last Light" game of the Metro series.

When I played on the Washington map just when It came out when Unturned was kinda old, I was playing with my friend on steam until we heard random flare sounds- THOUGH they were really louder We decided to quit that map, and we played on Yukon, later he hated that map so we- really sacredly went back to the Washington map, we went to scorpion 7 to get good loots and we heard that flare sound again, but when we got back to our base ( yes we made one in the mean time ) there was a lot of flares on the ground and 2 blown up cars ( and no this wasn't on multiplayer, ) the next thing we see Is a hole bunch of zombies ( we made our base by the crashed bridge ) looking like they were running at a invisible person, oh well that's my story.

maybe the anomaly is an alien that escaped the crashes of their ship, and they could have taken the shadow stalker with them, but after scorpion 7 found it, they forced it to hand over the shadow stalker for experiments, then using one of the 4 crystals, made the shadow stalker mark 2, the energy from the crystal, however, made the zombie test subject in that scorpion 7 base very powerful, destroying the base and burying it under Russia's metro, and the Mk. 2 was most likely transported to another dimension during all this chaos, only to be found when you re-open the dimensional portal by using the energy of the crystals, the bones and the skull in the Mk. 2 quest could very well be whats left of the alien's skeleton.

I've seen the ghost around the small monolith on the Russia map. I saw the two red eyes adorned on a totally black body out of the corner of my OWN eyes and hauled ass behind cover, fearing that a PvPer was about to end my life. I immediately went to the pause menu and waited the horrendously long 10 second wait time to log off, like a true coward. Now that I remember it, no PvPer would be wearing nothing at all, not even a gun... it had to of been the ghost. I am a true believer that this is a real thing.

Here's a cool thing for them to do: Have the Anomaly appear at a fixed point at every map, but it has a 1/999 chance of appearing. It acts like a Mega Zombie, except instead of throwing rocks it lunges at the player. If the Anomaly catches you, you will be blinded for 3 seconds, and it will deal 45% of the players health, and it also penetrates through any protecting armor. Upon defeating it, you get the following items: Biohazard Hood Anomaly Mask (NOT IN GAME, BUT IT WOULD BE A MASK OF THE ANOMALY!) Flashlight Night Vision (Military) Random high-tier melee weapon Random high-tier gun Oh, and it has as much health as a military Mega Zombie. WHERE'S MY MONEY NELSON?

Fact: patient zero was sight on other game the game was apocalypse rising the first sight of patient zero was in old map kin reborn or something this would rarely happen on hospital on the night Story:patient zero was a test subject by jerry robinson the (story would found in blood text or paper,book, etc on random location) monster was break free and spreading (redacted) virus that infect. The ghost was finding a hideout at PEI lighthouse and standing there.. Sighting: the player will rounded by patient zero if the player at low health player will die or try damage the ghost will result died. The ghost will appear at the screen and would black screen. After that the screen would be normal but player will be damaged or.. Death Requirement: -med kit -a squad (lonely will decrease the spawn rate) -spawn rate: 1% -lonely spawn rate 0.5%
