It's very important to distinguish among "Magi". The Persian Magi were of The Serpent Cult; then the Zoroastrian Magi who more closely fit the definition of "science-based" eastern "wise men"; and then possibly from Babylon who were "wise men" as part of Daniel's group whom he further instructed in YHWH, prophecy, etc.

I was reading Earnest L Martin's book The Star of Bethlehem, the Star That Astonished The World, and in it he says the wise men gave their gifts to the King on Dec 25th, which was the date the star stood in retrograde motion. Then a bit later, I heard a Rabbi say that the numbers for gold, frankincense and myrrh add up to 359, and that there is a word for Messiah and its number is 359, and that Christmas is the 359th day on our calendar.

At the 6th minute of the program...the teacher said the star stopped at 12 25 2BC...Did he not know that Jesus birthday was ORDERED to be celebrated on that particular day because of winter solstice pagan feasts?? I'm not against that order for I'd rather celebrate Jesus over any pagan god but to teach that it really was his birthday goes against MUCH of bible.

Yeshua, is the name given to our savior. There in no letter "J," in Hebrew. Jesus, is a bad translation from the Greek to English. He wasn't born in the winter but the Spring in the month of Nisan.
