I don’t see it as good and evil since good and evil are man made things. These are more the opposing yet complementary forces of nature. Dark isn’t evil and light isn’t good. Those are ideas we attribute to totally natural and neutral sides of life.

Yin and Yang is no opposite, they will change in some situation, just like light is a wave and sometimes it's particle. It's called wave-particle dualism. There no absolutely opposite inside taoism , every thing can change in some situation, no absolutly evil and good.

Yin and Yang represents The Law of Polarity ; this is one of the Seven Hermetic Principles. The Law of Polarity solves every paradox. Opposites are not opposite at all. They are the SAME only different by degrees. For instance, hot and cold appear to be opposites, but where exactly does hot become less hot and eventually cold ? When you compare hot to more hot, then the previously hot is now cold. This paradox is solved when we realized that hot and cold are not opposite at all , but represent the same thing - temperature - they are the same , only separated by degrees. The give away in the Yin Yang symbol is - inside the White is a circle of Black and inside the Black is a circle of White.
