Sean Harris is one of the most underrated actors of his generation. Thought his Aussie accent in this was solid gold.
@yoosh90342 жыл бұрын
Yeah, he nailed it. One of the most convincing and genuine Aussie accents from a non-Aussie that I’ve heard. Even the accent aside his performance was terrifying and compelling in itself.

He is great, he tripped me out so much in the stranger. He has so much depth to his expression and his art. His Australian accent in this was amazing.

Dead right, Jordan. I grew up with working class characters like these, so my ear is well attuned to any deficiencies. Shaun also handles regional American. See him in Serena. He is the real deal.

Sean Harris’s performance in this film is flawless. He captures his character’s twisted demeanor perfectly and his Aussie accent is bang on. Amazing!

But mate, Aussie accents come from the cockney accent. So it’s not difficult for a Brit to impersonate

I think what Joel was alluding to at the end is that there's no gratuitous violence. The violence is an important part of Sean's character and the story, but the film didn't need constant violent imagery to make it felt. Brilliant film.

Just finished The Stranger. Harris and Edgerton are magnificent!!!

Sean Harris is elite. It’s hard to compare him to other actors because he’s operating in a different dimension to almost all of them. You just know that he knows everything about his character. He explores every conceivable recess and understands them on a cellular level. The moment early on in the film where he gently removes the small piece of fluff from Mark’s top was so incredibly sinister and you just know it was improvised. He’s operating on a different echelon.

We watched this movie with my husband and we were lost for words, stunned, we went through catharsis, we cried watching last scene and couldn't get our shit together for the whole day. This film is by no means the best movie we have seen in years. And we watch a lot, because we both work in film industry. Thank you all for this masterpiece. Greetings from Poland

This film is up there with Seven in the way you don’t actually see any violence … but it still chills you to the core purely by the tone, plot and acting. Sign of an impactful film is how it stays with you. And by god this film stays with you…

The trailer for this is so intriguing. Reminds me a little bit of the video game, "A Way Out" in that it follows a close friendship but one where there is an inevitable betrayal.

"Right sensitivity to make a movie about it" They asked permission from the family to make the film. The family asked them not too so they ignored the family anyway. The family asked them not to use Daniel's name to promote the film which they again ignored and used old news footage of Daniel's case to promote it
