It's a bit technical, but Zygarde could be considered multiple-bodied. Not only does it have 3 distinct body plans, but Sun/Moon had us gather zygarde cells to assemble into the pokemon

Exeggcute drives me crazy because of how many questions it raises. Can they be split up? What if they're separate and I try to return it to its Pokeball? Or expose it to a leaf stone? Does it always have a cracked egg? What if the cracked egg spills? Why does it evolve into something with only three heads? Where did the others go? How does the shiny even work? It drives me insane

At least exeggcutor has an entry saying its heads can fall off, so maybe when it first evolves it has six (or maybe the trunk sprouts from the cracked one, then the other five heads attach to it?) but it loses some, and it just seems to instantly happen due to game graphic limitations, similarly to how kangaskhan apparently instantly gives birth from birth, or how in gens 2 and 3, mantine apparently befriended a remoraid inside its egg. Aegislash has much less of an excuse, where did the second sword go?

This was a really interesting video. I remember hearing that the little gray piece of dirt right below digglet is the rest of its body and that is some kind of all terrain mass that it uses to move. I also have the theory that the reason why the pokeball absorbs pokemon with multiple bodies is for a reason similar as to why it absorbs the objects that some pokemon carry around. Basically, the pokeball catches the pokemon and registers the thing it uses as an object. And in a similar way, when it comes to pokemon with multiple bodies, the pokeball registers one of the bodies/heads, etc as the pokemon and the others as "objects". Overall, I think this is a very interesting group of pokemon and it was nice seeing a video talking about them.

I'd say Girafarig and the Hydreigon line might qualify, as well as Scovillain. They all have multiple heads, and I know for a fact that in Hydreigon's line, as Zweilous, both are separate sentient entities in competition over one body. Girafarig is kind of the same, with its beta pre-evolution indicating it is two spirits in one, but one is more dominant and developed.

Gamefreak really just needs to make the extra forms of Pokemon available to catch as proper Pokemon (Shellder, 3-head Weezing, 1-head Binace, etc). Or as you said make a baby version of (how do we not have baby Kangaskhan yet, seriously?). Exeggcute and the Klink family are the most egregious in weird biology to me, but the Klinks are already a 3-stage so I don't see them clearing it up ever. The two versions of a baby Falinks is also a perfect idea! But Pokemon is gonna Pokemon I guess. Love content like this though, just discussing the weirdness of the franchise and how we just kind of accept it anyway. It's possible that wobbuffet's tail is the only part which its mirror coat doesn't coat, which might have something to do with its being the only part of it that's black rather than blue. That would explain why wobbuffet uses destiny bond instead if its tail is targeted.

Fun fact: these “shapes” also define how all Pokemon will look going forward. The 3D models in Pokemon games do what monster hunter originated. They just make a model and put different skins on it. It’s why mega pidgeot and swellow have the exact same model and animations. Or T tar and Baxcaliber looking and acting the exact same. There’s only 9 body models and animations for them and the rest of the Pokemon is just a different skin on top. Very lazy.

Since it evolved from Magneton, its kind of like Metagross, they are closely fused together into one. Btw since you questioned that if certain multi-body Pokemon de-evolve if they lose one part. The Pokedex actually says that Slowbro would de-evolve back if it's seperated from the shellder

I like to think that the pokemon list is more of a curated list of special note animals, not an exhaustive list. And the term pokemon in universe is more of a term for these special criteria animals, maybe the special criteria is being able to learn these magical moves and such. Pokemon I feel should be multibodied would be Stakataka, Drakloak and Dragapult, Calyrex when it rides its horses and Sandy Shocks. Also a bit of a joke suggestion but would Nincada be considered a multi-bodied pokemon since its evolution shows that its shell is a seperate entity to the actual bug.

Onix comes to mind when thinking of multiple bodies, is only the head sentient? Are the rest of the rocks just psychically attracted to the head or are they physically conjoined? Does it have organs going through every rock or just the head? If Onix starts out as a head and collects rocks to create its body, could there be a variation ofOnix which is made up of multiple Geodudes/Gravelers?

Combee doesn't sound too confusing, There should be a larval form thats laid into a cell in the hive's comb. I think the best answer would be that 3 larva are laid in adjacent cells and from birth form a bond that doesn't break upon maturing/pupating into Combee proper and they remain together. Granted Pokemon eggs are a thing so the three hatching directly into a Combee contradicts that.

I've always assumed Wobuffet was one pokemon with its tail being the most vital part. Presumably it would look around its narrow body, which is based on a punching bag. For the shut eyes, they could easily be fakes, but I wouldn't mind if they were also real, just to give it a better view while fully hiding its tail, if needed. Honestly, while entertaining I've always disliked dex entries for just seeming, well, bad a lot of the time. Anyways, I find the "no one knows how" answer to evolutions especially funny because a lot of the time you fill the dex entry for both the pre-evo and evo by EVOLVING the pokemon. Tf the dex mean I don' know, it happened before my eyes. Even if we take that as more a game gimmick, trainers who evolved their pokemon should 100% know. And yeah, baby Kangaskhan should 100% be it's own little thing. Basically useless but would fix the silly kanga breeding. Loved the video, was very entertaining.

Wobbuffet isn’t two bodies because the body IS the tail. The way that wobbuffet behaves is similar to the bozo the clown toys from the 50s, you punch it and it pops back up, which explains its strange moveset
