Both Shirley and Kevin Clifton have talked openly about the culture of bullying that is rife and ‘normalised’ in the dance world. So verbal abuse ie bullying is ‘professional’ and part of ‘getting the best out of you’. Amanda Abingdon worked hard, you could see that in the dances she produced, but there was always a disconnect in the partnership and that is on the professional.
