Yes a soldier from other rank can commission to join the officer corp but looking at age and political attachment to the higher ranks it’s a bit dicey.

In the olden days it was happening so many times . General Ankrah was a soldier and he was commissioned to become an officer . So many officers who have retired were soldiers and they were commissioned straight to become officers

@@michaekwarteng1263 no that’s not true. He joined in 1957 and the officers’ training is for 2 years. He was commissioned in early 1960 as a 2nd Lieutenant

Don't worry Prince Jadon, your air space is when you have the airmen ranking system of the Ghanaian air force. I can also recorgenise the personnel, unless the leadership system of the service is a mess...

And why compare the Ghana military with Nigerian military when knowing the size of your military is bigger than any west African country including Ghana and most other African countries and more equipped than a lot of African countries and by the way is about the quality of an countries army not the size and quantity so some nigerians need to stop comparing Nigerian army with military smaller and less equipped because some of those countries like Ghana Senegal Gambia and Chan have done well against terrorist threats and illegal immigration
