The STUNNING $80 Escapement Time Grand Seiko Homage

After a long 4 month wait for this watch to come back into stock, I finally got it. The Grand Seiko or King Seiko Homage by Escapement Time, a Chinese Aliexpress watch store like no other, assuring the highest of finishing and quality for all of their pieces. But is it worth its price? or is it just another overhyped Chinese watch.

The new batch comes with a screw down crown. What makes it worth the price is 10 years from now you be putting in your 3rd battery, not pondering a service that costs 4-5 times the price paid for the watch.

Very nice review. Subscribed. I have this watch on order. I have also the ET fleiger chronograph and it is exceptional - better than on video. If the dress watch is as well it will surely be beautiful! Wonderful videography.

Nice, balanced competetor in the market of quarz, dress watches. But lacking an X-factor to me. It is cheaper than Orient Bambino, and Citizen Stilletto. So if you don't mind the quarz and wear a suit everyday, it should be fine

Well it is a nice watch I guess but I have sold it for couple reasons. It was a little too big for me, it had no calendar and I realised that it was nice to have one and lastly and I think more importantly the dial is very dull. Not only dull but it was getting duller with the time I owned that watch. But other than that the case, hands and the movement action is really stunning. BTW Those are some really great shots. So good they even make the dial look good.

I am not a big fun of vintage Seiko design. And the case style of this watch killed it for me especially lugs.

There is no black version afaik, only green, blue, yellow, and cream.

I feel its both, it gets the markers and hands from Grand Seiko, and the case from the King Seikos

That said, I think part of the cool factor is that high beat quartz movement, and it keeps the cost super low, and accuracy consistent, while keeping the aesthetic advantage of a mechanical watch.

Just picked up a Chameri GS for $59. Sapphire crystal with AR coating looks identical to the watch your reviewing.

Yep basically the same, seems like the factory producing these opened up to new rebranders. The Escapement time has slightly more design features then the Chameri, like an etched crown and so on, but its all up to preference at this point. This case and movement is even used for GS fakes now.

It's nothing special. Too small for my taste and the strap is really crap.
