Been wearing my Chameri for the last week or so and I'm very impressed. Already have the Escapement Time and I think I prefer the Chameri thanks to the deeper dial. It was about £45 in the last sale. On very close inspection my Chameri has a tiny amount of AR coating too. Highly recommend both but it's hard to argue for spending more on the Escapement Time.

@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR 👍 other differences: Chameri has a small cutout in the case for the crown and weighs a little more even excluding the thicker caseback. My ET doesn't have a screw down crown either.

I got the 36mm escapement time watch(just received it today, did have to pay duty and tax which was surprising). I was debating on the last sale but after watching your video comparing the 36mm to the 40mm I was sold on the 36mm. I'm very happy with my choice even if it cost me more than the chameri, the small size works so well with the dress styling of the watch.

I just ordered the Chameri on AliExpress with the aqua dial face. I looking forward to wearing it. I think the VH31 mega quartz movement is a great choice by the company and the sapphire crystal is a tremendous value along with the 316L stainless steel case. Thanks for the review!

I have both versions. The yellow ET and the white Chameri. Except for slight differences in dimensions and an unmarked crown on the Chameri, they are almost identical. ET still has a 36 mm version and several colors to choose from, but if you prefer the white version take the Chameri. I paid $88 for the ET and $55 for the Chameri (with taxes). Great watches for a low prices.

​@@sinesaii Any color is a great choice.Yellow can not be called creamy, it is rather an intermediate shade between yellow and orange. More important is the choice of size, more ladylike is 36mm, larger is 40mm in diameter.

Nice vid, thanks for that! The Chameri still is a mystery... I tried to find differences between both models. And I think their are! The indeces of the Chameri are a bit flatter, and on the Escpement Time they are more flattened at the endings, especially to see on the double marker at twelve. Another thing struck me on the hight of the crown. Here the Chameri is a small tick lower. The material costs of "more" steel on the Escapment Time can not justify the higher price 🤔... so I decided to buy the Chamerie ! Go on witk your vids 👍

If you look at the 40 mm versions the Chameri might be almost as good as the Escapement Time. But if I had my time again I'd pay a little bit extra for the Escapement Time and get the smaller version.

I find it funny that the watch comes with an "International Warranty Card" but when you look at the warranty card it doesn't tell you what it warrants. Being that the watch is so inexpensive though, if it brakes, just get a new one. Being that it has the Seiko movement in it, I'm sure it will last just fine. The one thing I wish it did tell you though was the battery size. Can't find that anywhere.

Pretty sure the ET factory had to close, things got mad over there, but nothing can stop them to start another company, maybe same suppliers, maybe not, and BOOM, Chameri. Charming, isn't it??? 😂😂 Thanks for the review James, be well mate. PS Try a red colour leather strap on (either...), have the ET on one now, looks bloody (pun intended!) awesome. Sometimes though, get it on a light blue perlon (i made myself from a white one, with pen ink...!), smells-feels-looks summertime, all the way!

Both watches appear to be about as similar as they can be, apart from price. It would have been interesting to open the back and see the movements chosen - are they the same? If so, I don't think you will go far wrong with either of these choices. I've mulling over the smaller version Escapement Time for a while now.

When viewed from the side, the bottom of the lugs is flat on the ET and a continued curve on the Chameri.

It must be either an optical illusion or different perspective but when you show them alongside each other the Chameri looks smaller than the Escapement Time- from another review I thought the dimensions were slightly larger if anything for the Chameri.

I have very limited knowledge. Escapement time is a single dude who does on his time not working. The batons have the lower angle than cha. The look the same height. I understand why you bought the cha. 20 bucks is better for the Escapement. It's the O.G. I want to buy for my girls in the house. Ladies colours. And sized smaller. I will always help the start up or mom and pop. I love the blue hand on Escapement. I won't get a all silver. Not when you have blued hands. Why no blued classic hands on a ladies and man's watch. After work and tired😁 Honestly the price of both is nothing when you buy what you like.

Yes I think that's right, as far as I know. I do really like the watches that Escarpment Time make. I reviewed quite a few of them now. I was actually the first on KZbin to check them out too. I think the reason they don't use the blued hand on the coloured dials, is because it might not be very visible, depending on the dial colour. So, they opted to keep them all sliver I guess.
