Definitely. They're bound to make more batches of the meca-quartz though? Right? That's the drawi believe. These may do alright but someone else is going to take over that market. There's already competitors making almost the same one as the original model. Very Good finishing and cheaper even.

Hi Zee,can tell someone is liking this newest version. I’ve got the older one with blue second hand and I love it put it on a tan ostrich leather strap finished off a treat. Big thumbs up for a ten year battery.

Thanks for the video. Escapement Time rarely misses the mark. Think the movement change may affect them a bit. Should have stayed with the Seiko movement. In the looks dept, its amazing!! Cheers!!

I love mechanical watches just for knowing you have a little mechanical machine on your wrist. But I also really enjoy quartz watches for their accuracy, and you don't have to fiddle with setting the day/date everytime you decide to wear it (which of course also goes for digital watches). The only gripe I have against quartz watches is when the seconds hand totally misses the markers and ends up in the middle all around the dial. It just ticks my OCD lol. I love my NH31 driven Escapement Time watch (that brilliant movement needs to be in more watches), and has always been curious on what ET could do next. This Miyota movement actually seems to hit the markers pretty well for a quartz. And also being a great looking watch in general, as one would expect from this cool brand. Those hands are spectacular. 10 years of battery life is a great bonus as well. Loved that short Connery clip, back when real men wore 35mm watches lol.

My gf is from China. She tells me the front dial of watch says “Made in China.” The back says “Escapement Time.”

Made in China is 4 characters, not three in both simplified and traditional Chinese. This is made in China in simplified Chinese 中国制造 This is made in China in Traditional Chinese 中國製造 That's not what's on the dial.

For me the star of the show is the size. I wish that when they go mechanical, there will have a version with arabic numerals. A 35 or 36 mm case with Iwc Portuguese numerals on the dial, I want it so bad!

Those are both very nice-looking watches I kind of like the guilt better I'm not a huge fan of quartz movement I totally get that their accuracy over the long run is better I just like the beauty and ingenuity of a mechanical movement

I've had my Escapement Time watch with the VH31 movement for over 3 years now and it still ticks. Though I hack the time when ever I don't use it and it's pretty easy to swap the battery. The price of 112 € (VH31 was around 50 € originally). Honestly, shame on them for that price.

That’s actually a nicer strap than the one that comes on the first generation of his KS homages. I would also say that 35mm is a perfectly acceptable size for an average man’s wrist; let’s not forget that Muhammad Ali wore a very small Cartier tank.

Very stylish watches Zee, really like them. To be honest however, I'd probably prefer to have a high beat quartz and change battery every two years that a tick per second. Great review as always. ✌️ I just tried Google translate on the words and in traditional Chinese it came up with 牛国球 "Niu Guoqiu" If it's translating correctly Niu means Awesome or great and "Guoqiu" means teacher! So...Awesome Teacher?! 😁Of course it might mean something else. I was thinking it was Made in China, but that's not correct as made in China is 4 characters, not 3.

King Seiko is one of my most favorite but this watch just doesn't do it. Erverything looks half assed and soulless. Especialy chinese letters together with the Escapement time font is a no go. It shows they don't know what they want and just went for it.
