Love this song, hits straight to the heart, can't help but think of being 17 and with Heather so many years ago. She somehow found this record at the library and recorded it on cassette for me. A gift from an innocent, beautiful heart. So cheerful and full of life, beautiful Heather died of cancer a few years after that at the cruel age of 20. This song still makes me cry.

Pau Weller's voice is just consistently great! Mick Talbot back up vocals and instruments give us that pop classic beat. Great video and atmosphere is just classic and ethereal. This was the age of the New Romantics. The '80s is really the Golden Age of creative music. Visually appealing sights and sounds!

@@e.m.b2834 he was attempting to match the arc of the USA R and B story song tradition (at the same time Chrissie Hyde was issuing "Thin Line Between Love and Hate" ) and provide contemporaneous production to everytime ranging from Nick Martinelli to Jam and Lewis while honing a singular bass synth line style and giving Mick Room for a Hammond blues wash at the back. It's one of my most played songs and sing with Paul but resonate to Tracie who gets massive respect for having us self manage as she And Respond were chucked aside with only half hearted help from polydor who refused to issue her second album. It sat in the studio and suffered from the Ampex adhesive jinx which affected so Many of the seminal recordings of the era that an entire technology was invented over the course of a decade to rescue them.

The Clavell Tower at Kimmeridge in Dorset was built in 1830 by a clergyman of the same name, initially as a simple lookout tower. Over the years it has featured in several television programmes and provided inspiration for such luminaries as Thomas Hardy and, more latterly, P D James. As recently as 2008 work was completed on moving the tower some 80 feet inland to avoid it collapsing due to coastal erosion. The new owners now offer it for rental holidayys.
