Several people left the theater on my showing, it's really gory, graphic, shocking and mesmerizing, best role Demi Moore has ever played, really brave of her to go full on with it.

Spot on review! Absolute spot on review man! I went to see it for myself yesterday, yup, I'm agreeing with you on the 5/5, this is easily one of the best films of the whole year, I had an absolute blast with it! Oh boy, what the experience indeed! I'm never forgetting it!

ooo, now we're talking. With Revenge being in my top 5 vengeance horror of all time I am very stoked hearing about this. Safe to say it's on my buy list instantly. Like the story line and I am a fan of Demi, especially in horror/thriller films. Sounds very fun, can't wait to own it. Great spotlight. I really enjoyed the director's use of color in Revenge as well, it has some striking palates and offsets in it. Must be one of her directing signatures.

Fantastic Review! I'm so glad you loved it that much. Maybe I need a rewatch to fully grasp all the ideas this film had to offer, but I left really disappointed. Didn't feel like any of the gross-out scenes were earned, and I have mixed feelings on the ending.

I absolutely love this movie as well. I gave it an eight out of 10. Only took a couple points off for some of the far-fetched this but it’s more nitpicky than anything. Our audience which was only about 15 people absolutely was going crazy the entire time we all had a great time.

This sounds like a really interesting movie, but I do have a hard time with body horror at times so we’ll see. Oh yeah if you had mostly senior citizens, I can’t imagine they would like a body horror/bonkers movie! I wonder why they went to see it, maybe since it has Dennis Quaid in it and he’s usually been in safer movies?

@@RavensOsFan89 Sci-fi elements is what attracts me to that film. Actually, The Substance is not a fresh idea at all, it's just so graphic from what I hear contrary to vintage sci-fi which was much more reserved.
