I start my journey from Atbara to Khartoum, in Sudan, and this morning is very hard, because I have to deal with a very strong headwind.
I arrive completely dead to a roadside cafeteria, in the middle of nowhere, in Sudan, and I enjoy a heartwarming break...

Welcome to Sudan! This is my 3rd video now and I'm really enjoying it! For future reference, Electricity is pronounced "Kahrabah" not "Kabala", that's why they didn't understand what you were saying when you made that first pit stop.. The guy that pressed on the brakes actually asked you if the bike was working on "kahrabah".. they actually did have electricity, notice the shops have lights outside. I was almost screaming to try to stop you! 🤣

@dev dev Thank you for the compliment! Yeah, you could see the lights, but they might have black out. They are very frequent. Especially in rural and remote areas. He could have waved the charger cable, and that would have been sufficient for them to understand him. Anyways, good luck with the rest of your trip.

If you want to say electricity in Arabic the most accurate word is Kahraba pronounced "Kah-Ra-Ba", the word Kabala that you are using means cable, thats why the first people didnt understand. Good luck on your journey!

Yves, you will need to know the Arabic word for electricity, Kah-Ra-ba. Maybe 80% of the Sudanese population have no access to electricity. Another word you need to learn is Ana Awes Ash-han Kah-Ra-ba, which means and want to charge electricity.

Hey Yves, you are constantly thirsty in Sudan because you are riding under the sun for hours without a cover, like an umbrella or something. It is equivalent to someone riding or walking for hours in winter in France during the cold hours (night) without proper clothing. They would also be in bad shape, of course the pedaling makes it harder in a hot weather. Thanks for the amazing video.
