She seems to have an awesome range. And she'll toss in the Bjork growl. With her accent and the way she takes her time going through a verse, it definitely makes a song more interesting. I read the lyrics to Human Behavior, which are actually quite plain, but the way she sings it makes it super interesting. Also, the lyrics/writing seem to be that of a person with non-native English, which I really like as well.

The Sugarcubes had a lot of good music during their career. I hardly ever heard any of their music on mainstream radio, I don't ever know why. I'm guessing they got a lot of air play in their home country of Iceland, and rightly so.

For a band to have a song of just under 3:30 to 'breathe' from 1:52 to 2:42 shows such confidence. And then as a vocalist she comes out with that growl, but near the end she squeaks out a falsetto note. All tasteful. Fully satisfied. It's worth remembering how young she started singing on stage and that she studied Classical music.
