It's a pleasure to watch you find, cut, place, and set the posts. Brings back memories of digging fence pole holes with my dad, for long wood frames to hold three bars (horse fence, I guess). You sure did your work efficiently. I like your standard, not perfect, but close. I also enjoyed watching you clear that space in the upper part of the barn for the ducks. That was a marvel! Uh oh, fox is definitely an issue for the birds. Surprised Echo-Pup didn't run it off. At least you saw it and know it is around and you can try and keep them all safe. Mumbles is looking better all the time. I love how she marches to the beat of her own drum. 😂 Her waddle is just too cute when she gets a pep in her step.

As good as you are at making something from nothing, maybe you could make a body-mounted harness for your phone so you could use two hands while working around the homestead. That would save you time since you would be able to use both hands/not have to stop to reset the camera. Love watching things take shape.

Why do the chickens have bare backs...I assume it's from mating but not sure and do the bare backs create health issues... like allowing bacteria to get onto there skin... do the other chickens peck at the bare backs ...

They get bare from the roosters, the feathers will grow back, there isn't any open wounds so they're fine

Isn't hardware cloth stronger than chicken wire? Are predators any concern for your farm?
