This is a great movie, still without an HD release, so hopefully Warner Archive will take care of that shortly. Mitchum, Kerr and Ustinov are a dream cast and it's terrifically directed by Fred Zinnemann with music by Dimitri Tiomkin.

Robert Mitchum deserved an Oscar nomination for this role. This movie should be given a blu-ray release.

All the Aussie actors in supporting roles: Chips Raffferty, Ed Devereaux, Gerry Duggan (Irish born), John Meillon, Leonard Teale. I saw Meillon being interviewed by Michael Parkinson on Australian TV in the 80s, where he told funny stories about Mitchum.

It did take me a minute to figure out that Bob Mitchum was attempting an Aussie accent.

Deborah Kerr was good with that accent; Mitchum was good but not as good as he usually was with the accent, here.
