Cold Chisel, The Angels, AC/DC, Split Enz just to name a few more the rock scene was the best in Australia in the early 80s

Divinyls, The Party Boys, Aussie Crawl, The Angels, AC/DC (good ol' Bon was a Freo boy)....we had a heap of epic music come out in the 80s for sure👌🏻. Edit- my prime years were the 90s as was a teen then and I'm a metal head at heart but you can't listen to this hit without cranking those speakers.

My Dad has sung this song to me since I was a baby. I have been going thru such a rough patch lately, and a very small number of things is helping me hold on. Agreed ,but in a sad kindof way considering the struggles and setbacks he has dealt with . I say him coz he was the main lyricist and lead guitarist. But they all suffered . They had the stuff to become one of Australia's greatest bands. One of Aussie rocks great pity's

Damn, there sure IS something about that guitar sound. Doesn't sound British and doesn't sound American. Neither does Chisel nor Midnight Oil to my ear. These guys were all doing something new. Is it the sound of Aussie beer barns - two Marshall stacks turned up flat out in a corrugated tin shed when it's still 22 degrees at 9pm. Unique.
