in super mario odyssey when she turned down bowser and mario at the alter kind of felt like an end to the series, because how will it look for mario to continue chasing a woman who doesn't want to be with him. He was hesitant because he's protective of Tenacious but he listen to it and thought it was funny and made sense. The theater exploded in laughs on the "peaches peaches peaches peaches peaches" part, and at the end of the movie, there were people singing it on their way out. My daughter (4 years old) sings it all the time WITH ME!!!!!!, she loves this song. Watching her jumping and clapping in joy at the end of the movie when Bowser eat the mushroom was magical, and also her reacting at the post-credits (the second one) with all her emotion brings a tear to my eyes. A new generation of Mario fans have born.
