My dad lost the family farm and died, and when it was offered to me, I had no money to buy it from the other heirs and neither did any of the other 16, so it sold for a mere $89,000, lock, stock and barrel. Now the old homestead, including 2 houses, 3 big Barns, 2 Chicken houses, grape arbor, flowing well, riverside bottom ground, the woods, gardens and orchard are a tiny piece of somebody else's corporate plowed field. My best memories lie there buried with my ancestors. So, if I focus on myself, I fall into a deep pit with slippery slopes and no way out. If I focus on God, and all the others in my life instead, and the bright future we all share, I rise to the top and climb out. I like outside best. Here it's loving, kind and joyful. I never want to go back into the pit, so I stay grounded in God's coming government, which few understand. He's moving here to dwell with us. Then everyone on earth will know him from the least to the greatest.

Its bullshit. There is no help for anyone. Nobody can help. Life just sucks right now. Talking about it just prolongs things. I'm tired of nobody seeing both sides to suicides. Unless you have failed at life you will never understand, the feeling of living in failure everyday, where you slowly lose the motivation just to live, eat, do anything. Its very situational, and linked to actual events. You could have been the happiest person, but failure, is a death sentence, unless you can find a reason to live, something, anything. Losing people sucks. I have lost three family members to suicide, and I know. I have chronic depression, and have also failed at life right now, in most ways. Still I find ways to hang in there, its a day by day thing. The guilt of the impacts on people, is sometimes all you need to just live with the pain, do something, anything, just stay alive. Losing the family farm, wow, I get it. My family were farmers, though they did not lose it, but sold, moved on. Videos like this are a great way to not feel alone, and reflect. Thats all some of us have now.

With the price of international bulk shipping at extremely low rates the farmers of the world all have to compete with the lowest cost producer where ever they are in the world. This puts terrible financial stress on farmers and drives them out of business. Farms that have been in business for generations are going bankrupt and this is a terrible mental blow the male farmers who are not able to feed their families and losing the generational family farm at the same time. Something must be done. That may require national tariffs that protect the farmers within a country. The cost of tariffs will be higher food prices and that is hard on the non farmers in a country. What to do?

I find it so ironic when these ex-city people claim that they are trying to escape from "city stress" and then find out, the hard way, that rural living is not as stress-reducing as they like to think it is. Farming and living rurally comes with its own stresses, including unnecessary stresses. The good news is that you can leave the rural rat race, if its making you stressed to the point of considering suicide or crime.

Why is the increase a surprise? The increase in bankruptcy is a huge indicator that the rate of suicide is going to go up. Let's take the money back from the huge agribusinesses and use it to help the small family farms. And I'm not talking about my cousins who have over 100,000 acres under tillage. Use the money for loss protection loans to get them through, and then when they can pay it back it will be there for the next crisis. Its been like this for years you know the amount of pressure that farmers have to go through is immense hopefully the media and the government will help these people instead of making humans hate each other

I’m so sorry to hear about the suicide problem among farmers. So sorry for this and other families that are going through this. Heartbreaking. I knew farmers were having a difficult time. I knew Trumps policies were going to hurt them. I hope the Democrat’s win and they make it a priority to help Farmers , American industry and Manufacturing. I hope Farmer’s realize that Trump’s Republican Party is not going to help them. I was born in the city but there were American Farmers in my family. Last family farm sold in the 1960’s.

Every President has not been the farmers friend; if you view it from that perspective. The commodities market is managed by private corporation and ag industry is affected by bankers, mega ag Corp., and Geo-political events. Farmers is in the middle.

when you work long hours its very hard to get help and most people dont care or they just dont want to hear it . i been there i know . everybody says talk to someone its just not as easy as they make it sound . i reached out to my own work place and i was made to feel like its no big deal you will be fine. till it about put me under . i reached out to people around me but if those people never been where you are with your metal health they dont understand . the biggest problem is when you are trying to get help most people just want to tell you how to fix yourself rather then let you talk through the hurt or stress or whatever it maybe that is pulling you down . nobody really knows what its really like when you at that point when your about to suck on a gun barrel till you have done it . you can be there in a second and that all it that it takes . i have lost some friends over the years to this problem and we all had the same issues . we all worked alot of hrs and we all worked alone .even if we could have gotten help we were to busy keeping the wolves away to get away to get help . the world doesnt stop because you are have problems . the bank will never say sorry to hear your having issues so we will hold off on your bank loans till you get better or your work place . some make it through it and some dont make it through it . its just not and easy fix when it comes to metal health issues .
